We booked this location through Expedia as an overnight stay on our tour of National Trust properties. The accommodation is fantastic and our host Gill could not do enough for us. We were contacted by email prior to arriving so Gill could greet us, the room consisted of a single bed and a four poster bed complete with TV, fridge and tea and coffee making facilities. We also had the use of a private lounge room with dining facilities where a fantastic home cooked breakfast was served. We dined out on the evening we arrived at a local restaurant called the William 4th and on our return to the property at dusk we were given a lovely surprise, there were 3 wild deer grazing in the grounds. If you are looking for a quiet retreat with all the creature comforts this is a great place. We absolutely love this place. Thank you Gill

Me and my husband really really really enjoy staying here in the woods in a cabin!!! This farm not only offers a B&B in a gorgeous house it also offers 3 cabins and a shepards hut!! And we stayed in Holly oaks cabin twice now and we just love how cosy and warm it is... It has thee best comfiest bed in the whole world!!! Also a fully functioning kitchen but if your going to stay here you need a week because after 2 nights it's just gutting to say goodbye. Gill and her husband help with absolutely everything you could possibly need, great hosts! Showed us the whole cabin in the draws have loads of leaflets for walks and places for dinner and loads of other things to do. We had a lovely piece of lemon cake waiting for us. Tea coffee and milk in the fridge such lovely touches. I cannot wait for the next time we go back. Definitely need to car to get around if you stay here as this place is tucked right away in the country side bust so beautiful to go here

We stayed in the B and B in the farmhouse, a beautiful old building in a gorgeous setting. Really comfortable beds and a very pleasant surprise to have the use of a lounge as well as the room. Fridge in the room with fresh milk and a wide selection of different teas and coffee bags was a very nice touch, and the breakfast was delicious with a big selection of cereals, different fruit juices and a fresh fruit salad as well as a cooked breakfast - served to us personally in the lounge. The children loved the setting particularly watching a deer on the lawn outside. A very warm welcome from the hosts, and beautifully clean room - with an iron which was really helpful too!|Would definitely come back and stay again!

Just returned from a one night stay at this beautiful B&B and cannot recommend enough for a peaceful getaway! Our host was an incredibly welcoming lovely woman, and the room was clean and very comfortable. Our only small gripe was the quality of the bacon and sausages weren't to our taste (seemed bland and on the cheap side). I can't bring myself to deduct a star for this though, as I guess it's personal taste and everything else about the stay was perfect! We will be back!

A nicely decorated, homely place to stay in the real countryside. The owners were very friendly and helped me to keep the fire going in the sitting room! Really liked the privacy of the annexe. I appreciated some of the small things since I stayed with a toddler - they found some toddler cutlery for us to use, and all the catches on the doors are high up beyond his reach. The owner recommended a lovely little walk that was just the right length for my little sons legs. The path to get there is a small muddy country lane, but my car handled it fine.

We have stayed at Lockhurst Hatch Farm B&B on many occasions over the years and it has been fantastic every time. Wonderful hosts, great cooking and relaxed friendly atmosphere. Lovely quiet area with a couple of picturesque local pubs. Highly Recommended.

Stayed in the Shepherds Hut - and will return! It was a truly beautiful experience in every way. Peaceful, private -perfect. Simple but still comfortable - even the outside loo thingy was highly civilized and clean as was the delightful outside shower with hot water! Nothing but the sound of birds and occasional sheep and the odd distant cock crowing - but not too much! Breakfast delivered in a hamper at the hour of your choosing - meat cheese breads cereals yoghurt berries and fruit and all - enough to save a bit back for a snack later after a long glorious walk on one of the many routes that can start at this spot. A cute old pub just half an hour walk away or 5 mins in the car. The hosts were helpful and lovely - and non intrusive. A wind-down experience like no other.

I would highly recommend staying at the farm. Gill was welcoming and very helpful with helping us with some travel problems.||||The place itself is warm, cosy and quiet. It's off the beaten track.||||A particular highlight was eating honey that had been produced on the farm itself. ||||My only caution is to people arriving by public transport/taxi as this was difficult to organise. I would bank on spending £20 or so from Shere each way by taxi. Otherwise, I would not hesitate to stay again!
