The room is not that bad as others mentioned, and I think most part of the room is clean. The heater works really well and the room is warm and cozy. Yeah, there is some little spot or stain on the wall or in the bathroom, but for me, it's acceptable as the facilities are not brand new. A £30 private room with bathroom, don't have too much expectations but still good for one night stay

Stayed here for one night as location and price was good for us during the commonwealth games, wasn't expecting much from the hotel but it was pretty bad. Looks like it has shut up from the outside, the taxi driver who dropped us off in the evening couldn't believe it was actually accommodation. Had to phone hotel to get them to open door when we arrived. Room was very small with a small portable tv that could hardly get any reception, bed was up against the wall and room was very hot. Receptionist was friendly. As it was only one night it was ok and was close to train station back into Birmingham but I wouldn't stay again.

If you want a clean hotel. Do Not stay here. Sink was broken, room was dirty, shower was dirty. I have literally spent over 2 hours having a bath at home, felt so grubby leaving The Prime Lodge. We paid £40 per night. In all honesty it was worth nowhere near that. There was a kettle in the room, only 1 mug, no teabags etc. Sheets were grubby. 1 towel, which looked about 20 years old. The lady on reception was nice. If I could give this place zero stars I would 😔

Very dirty and smelly hotel. The toilet was
broken and didn't flush. When not using the toilet, water trickled down and made an annoying noise that will not let you go to sleep. The shower had mould everywhere which is sickening. The sink didn't have a cap on so you can drop anything down there. All the filth is visible without the cap on sink. The heater for the room didn't work, it was freezing. The TV is too small, it's an old 1990 box TV. They only gave one towel for a double bedroom for 2 people. Which is ridiculous. The bed sheets and cover had dirty stains. The mattress was so thin and useless that you can
feel the wood of the bed beneath it let alone the springs of the mattress! The pillow was so rubbish and so flat, it won't even support a baby's head. I'd need 5 of those pillows to consider it adequate. The cups for tea/coffee was so dirty. Put me off from drinking from it. Steer clear of this place
