I was hoping not to write a negative review but I have emailed the hotel directly and not received any response so here is my feedback. I booked a twin room for myself and my mother for Friday 6th December. I then emailed the hotel to let them know that my mother has mobility issues and asked if they could allocate us to an accessible room with, if possible a level access shower. Very quickly I received a response say that although they don't have an accessible twin room we would be upgraded at no charge to an accessible family room in which there were two beds, a double and a single. Happy with this I looked forward to checking in. |On check in however, I was told that I could only be upgraded for free if I joined the Best Western Rewards scheme. I had to give my details and email address before I could be checked in. Too tired to argue I did as I was told but later on thought about how the attitude in the initial email was so different to my experience of the reception staff. I did go and complain about this in the morning and I was told that this is not policy and the staff would be "spoken to" about it. I want to make it clear to the staff at the Aerodrome that the use of an accessible room is not an "upgrade", it is a right under the Equalities Act 2010 (if such a room is available), however I was made to feel as if I was being done a massive favour. I also wasn't told that disabled parking was free but I guess that I should have stood in the rain and read the parking notice outside for myself. |Now our room was really nice and accessed via a lift and very spacious BUT it just was NOT an accessible bathroom. It had a shower over the bath which my mother could never have got into. It did have a pull down bar around the toilet and a low level additional sink but we paid for a room in which my mother was unable to have a shower in the morning - and that is just not acceptable these days. |So in the morning we had a very pleasant breakfast and the staff were great in the small restaurant area. Its a bit cramped but the food was good and when I asked they brought me some veggie sausages to go with my meal. |When I went to reception to ask if there was another room with an accessible shower for possible future visits, they told me that the room we had stayed in was the ONLY "accessible" room in the hotel. |We were visiting an elderly relative who has recently moved to the area and are hoping to do so again several times this year but unfortunately we will not be staying in the Aerodrome Hotel again and we will look for somewhere that can meet our needs fully where we can access all the facilities that we have paid for...

On arrival, reception staff were very welcoming . The room simple and tasteful and very clean. modern bathroom. Breakfast a delight, buffet style, all very hot and plenty of choice. Chef personally spoke to everyone eating to check they were happy. Great hotel for the money, will definitely be staying there again

As far as the hotel and rooms go all was ok.
Be careful as there is a £10 parking charge payable on arrival.
We had lamb each in the restaurant however there was an extra £10 sirloin steak supplement charged. On questioning the manager he said they put this on as it takes longer to cook lamb! I stood my ground and demanded a refund. Eventually got it.

We had the pleasure of celebrating our company Christmas party at the Croydon Aerodrome Hotel on Friday 13th December 2024.||The venue looked lovely, quite luxurious with the black and gold decor, The DJ ensured that we all entered into the Christmas spirit and we danced the evening away and made it a night to remember. Bar service was efficient drinks were good and staff were amazing. ||It was great having inflatables on the tables for us to enjoy during the evening. We loved that we had a recyclable crackers with no bang in the middle, more and more companies are looking for environmentally friendly favours and it was great to see an effort had been made.||The only negative feedback is that a couple of people there had a balloon phobia which made their night less enjoyable, it was a disappointment to see the balloons due to their environmental impact especially as such an effort had been made with the crackers and not all tables had table centers on which seemed strange. ||All in all, we had a very good night and would recommend it to others and we will go back.

Originally I booked an executive room that had been refurbished. I upgraded to a suite which was very large, huge bed etc. It hadn’t been refurbished and it was what I would describe as ‘Drab’. |It was all very clean. |There were only the bedside lights and light in an area where we made tea. Not enough light to read by. A very helpful staff member found us a standard lamp, which should have been provided and somehow wasn’t. This solved the issue for us so we could read. Veronica - thank you. |I have an intolerance to certain foods and Adelena was so helpful sorting out a menu for me. So helpful. The food was quite good, fish and chips and pasta. Good offer for two courses and a beer for £24.95 each. The purpose of our visit was to see the aerodrome museum, which we did. |Overall the main bonus of the hotel was the staff, so kind, helpful. Amazing people.

The room was beautiful and spacious, and room service was amazing. The food was so delicious 😋. I would definitely stay there again. Breakfast is also available, and it was good. It has a beautiful seating area.

Me and my friend went for afternoon tea and was very disappointed in the service we got. Me and my friend was the only two people having afternoon tea When we arrived they ask us for drink and in 10mins came out with had sandwiches and cakes I can't complain about sandwiches they were lovely the cakes was all the same but different Flavour chocolate blueberry vanilla. They should have different cakes not the same have to go and found the staff for water for tea had to help myself to water and get tea bags twice The staff came over and told her had to help myself. she Brough out Scones on plate and they so hot I had to wait for them to cool down before I put cream and jam on them. They don't have box to put your cakes in so had to leave the cakes. I will never got back to this hotel for afternoon tea. Very disappointing

Great hotel, staff were all lovely. Bedroom was basic but clean and the bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was great value, lots of choice and freshly made, also any meals ordered outwith breakfast were delicious. I would recommend this hotel and if travelling back to London would stay again.
