I'd say that this hotel is just fine. If Google let me give half star reviews I'd say this is about a 3.5, for reasons below:

Location: I appreciate that it's kind of tucked away from the main street so it's a great deal quieter than a hotel fronting the street would be. It's an easy walk to two different Underground stops (representing three lines) and loads of bus stops, plus a bit further walk from another Underground stop representing two more lines. Loads of choices for transit if you don't mind walking. It's also close to shops and restaurants.

Amenities: The hotel is bare-bones for amenities. A check-in desk, a vending machine, breakfast in the basement (didn't have the breakfast so can't comment there). The room had a kettle, teabags, sugar, and milk.

Room Amenities: The room - a Double Garden View Room on the third floor - was freaking SMALL with nothing to suggest that it had (as the website says) "the comforts and elegance of smartly layout interiors, housed in a spacious, modern and fully fitted environment". If you and your travel companion are petite individuals traveling light then this room might be fine for you, however if you're close to 6 feet tall and weigh more than 150 pounds and/or are travelling with checked bags this room will be too small. I did appreciate that the bed was comfortable and both windows in the room opened fully- plus the air conditioner was extremely cold which is rare!
The bathroom sink was so small that I would splash water everywhere while rinsing my face, plus there was a glass shelf right at head height when you're trying to rinse your face so I had to try to not boink my head. The shower is very small, absolutely not enough room to shave your legs (couldn't bend over in the shower). I did appreciate the very hot water and great water pressure. Also the bathroom exhaust was great but the door was on auto-close so we had to prop it open with the trash can to fully vent.
Towels were linty! WHY! So much lint on my face and body after drying off.
The walls of the hotel were EXTREMELY THIN, I could hear people coughing/ blowing their nose/ flushing the toilet. Fortunately during our stay our neighbors were quiet but if you're a light sleeper bring a noise maker and some earplugs.

Room Cleanliness: The room itself was really clean, including the mattress and sheets. There was a smell like they had just cleaned the carpet next to the bed (very floral scent just in one area) which gave me pause but the cleaning smell went away and no bad smells replaced it so can't complain. The bathroom was clean except for some mold growth in the grout in places but I think that's because the bathroom door auto-closes so moisture is likely to get trapped in there.

All in all, it's fine. If I was travelling solo and/or on a business trip this would be a fine hotel to pick, but I don't think I'll be staying here again when travelling with someone else.

I stayed at The London House Hotel for 3 nights in mid September. The total cost in CA$ was $1,220 - or more than $400/night. It was by far the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. The website grossly misrepresented the rooms on offer. Rather, the room I was given was a long hallway - 8 feet wide at best - with 2 beds lined up one after the other along the wall. There was no chair, no bureau - in fact there was no room for anything but the beds. The bathroom was so small it was impossible to turn around in with the door closed. The beds were hard and uncomfortable. On top of that, there was very loud construction (concrete, drilling, etc.) directly below the window from 8:30 am to 6:00 pm. ||When I complained at the desk I was told the construction was out of their control and they had no other rooms to offer. When I asked if I could cancel the 2 other nights to look elsewhere, they refused. They did call some time later with an offer of another, bigger room, on the “lower ground” - i.e., the basement - but with a surcharge of $50 more per night. No thank you. ||Apparently they called some time later to tell me they would waive the additional cost for the room, but I had gone out and when I returned the room was no longer available. The right approach when someone has valid complaints about a room is to offer a reduced rate, or a complimentary breakfast - not to offer a room at an additional cost. ||The only two positive things I will say about this hotel is that its location is good - easy access to 2 different tube stops and walking distance to Notting Hill - and the desk staff were pleasant and tried to be helpful. Otherwise, it was truly dreadful.

The staff were mostly friendly, the location was brilliant and my room was very clean. However it was extremely tiny, the walls were super thin (which was horrible for me as a light sleeper) and the water pressure in the shower was really low.
All in all I enjoyed my stay at LHH, it's a nice hotel for a short stay.

Returning to London House Hotel was an absolute delight! The fantastic location remains a highlight, but it’s the warm, welcoming staff - especially Silvia and Greis - | that make it exceptional. From the friendly front desk to the attentive housekeeping, the service is impeccable. The rooms are spotlessly clean, cozy, and offer a comfortable, restful sleep every time. It truly feels like a home away from home. Highly recommend this gem for anyone visiting London – I can't wait for my next stay!

I found it to be excellent value for money, especially given its prime location. The hotel is well-situated, with easy access to public transport and plenty of shops and restaurants nearby.

The staff were friendly and very helpful throughout my stay. They were always on hand to answer any questions or assist with requests, which made the experience all the more pleasant. The room itself was clean and comfortable – not overly luxurious but perfectly adequate for the price paid.

My only small gripe was that the WiFi password was provided on a thin, tiny strip of paper, which was a bit too easy to misplace. However, this was a minor issue in an otherwise great stay.

Overall, I have no complaints and would certainly consider staying here again.

Was everything we were looking for, a nice, well appointed, affordable hotel outside of the city center but we easy underground access to all the main attractions.

The staff were very engaging and helpful, rooms were clean and comfortable and most importantly quiet.

There are two underground stops close by along with a number of dining choices.

I would highly recommend this hotel.

I was actually shocked with how nice the entrance and reception area to the hotel was. So bright, airy and very clean! We have a double room downstairs which was small but perfect for 2 people sharing that were out and about all day anyway. It has a comfy bed, hairdryer, TV, kettle with coffee/tea and biscuits, vanity table with mirror and a spacious bathroom with shower and even had mini toiletries included. The room, corridors, lift and other areas were all very clean and tidy. I'd definitely stay here again as it was central with a 5 min walk to Hyde Park and a 2min walk to lots of Restaurants, shops and cafe's. Fab time was had and hopefully we will be back 🙂
