This place is ok especially if travelling for work, everything is clean and tidy and there seems to be plenty of parking. If you're on holiday and want a nice cosy place to stay I wouldn't recommend. It's on a University campus, you can only pick up your key between 4 - 8pm, unless you make special arrangements. The reception, your room and the breakfast area are in 3 separate buildings. I booked a 'standard double room', paying an extra Β£10 for some extra space and hoping there would be a desk as I had work to do. I was given a 'compact room' (no desk, no room to swing a cat really) as they call it on their website. When I complained I was told that it was a standard double room despite the space between the bed and wall on all 3 sides being just enough to fit through. They did agree to refund me the extra Β£10 I paid after I sent them a number of emails refuting that it was a standard size. Therefore if you pay for a 'standard double' be prepared to be given a room closer in description to the 'compact double' in the photos on their website. My main issues are 1) being given a small room after paying extra 2) They denied giving me a compact room when it couldn't have been more compact. They did eventually agree to a refund as I was unhappy with the room but did not admit it was a compact double. 3) I paid by PayPal so they said they can't refund me directly to my PayPal account and have to get my address to post the refund by cheque. π
At first I was annoyed the heating wasn't on and the room was cold, but quickly got over this as when I turn on the heating the room got warm and stuffy very quickly.
