This is a lovely old fashioned cottage, we spent a great week here with the dogs, great base for touring the Hadrian's Wall area. Decoration could do with a bit of a spruce up but nothing off putting. We found the paintings in the second bedroom rather unsettling and was glad no one had to sleep in there. We said good morning to them everyday and they didn't disturb us much apart from hiding the cheese and one of my wife's earrings! Enjoyed the slow pace of cooking in the Aga and the steam powered microwave was a delight!

Loverly rustic cottage we and our dogs loved it decoration is a bit tired in places but only adds to the charm, everything you need is there the aga was new to us but we loved using it, we were there in February and it was very cosy we only needed the central heating for a couple of hours in the morning and the open fire in the evenings
