We had a great time staying at Lowdale Cottage. It was spotless, well-stocked with everything we needed, and really comfortable. The location is amazing: adjacent to the Esk Valley Walk so there are countryside walks right from the front door, and yet it’s just a few miles from the cafes, shops and beaches of Whitby and Sandsend. The rural setting meant great views of the night sky and we loved listening to the local owl and the occasional toot of the steam trains. We’d highly recommend a stay at Lowdale Cottage.

Great place to stay. The cottage is very comfortable and wonderfully equipped . Wi-Fi is good , TV has a NowTV box so access to a good selection of live and on-demand watching if you're not out and about.
The Kitchen has everything you could need should you want to cater a dinner party here (not sure why you would want to on holiday , but you could )
The location is quiet yet you are only a short drive from many lovely places e.g. Sandsend, Skinningrove , Whitby, Rievaulx Abbey or indeed just the Moors scenery .
I'm sure we will be back in the not too distant future.

Absolutely fantastic stay. Just far enough outside of Whitby to avoid the crowds and perfect for a quiet time or a convenient base for a seaside experience for families.
Cottage very well equipped and comfortable. Wifi very good and TV fully connected to anything you wish. Well maintained and clean with your own private garden and patio area. Kitchen diner well appointed with dishwasher, a good oven and hob. With everything you'd ever require.
Bryan and Jane are the perfect hosts with a beatiful home baked cake, fresh flowers and a welcoming message on arrival .Very welcoming and helpful and familiar with the local area.
Will definitely recommend Lowdale for a good holiday and a whole range of requirements

Lovely cottage sleeps up to 6, and dogs ensuite and bathroom/ shower all amenities lovely location excellent parking highly recommended. Whitby and Yorkshire moors 5 minutes away.

Outstanding cottage in perfect location to visit the beaches, towns and countryside of North Yorkshire. An absolute home from home with every little detail covered by the friendly owners. Can't recommend this cottage highly enough.

Beautiful little place, very well furnished with every item needed for cooking and general accommodation. Owners live next door and they are great - really welcoming and helpful. Several good walks from the village. Highly recommended.

Just come back from our.second.stay in Farm Cottage. So comfortable, a lovely peaceful location and plenty of good walks around the.area. Jane and Bryan are really welcoming and have thought of everything to make this a great place to stay.
