Not a fault. We were well taken care of and if we encountered any issues, they were quickly rectified without any effort from us. The bedroom was beautifully maintained to keep the vintage charm and personality with an amazing bathroom. A very scenic hotel both inside and outside the facility with plenty of woodland areas to walk around. Food and drinks were very well done and the spa was the relaxation that we needed. This place is a “must-see” and I hope to visit again.

The setting and grounds of the hotel are undeniably beautiful, but sadly, the experience was far from what we expected. The property is due to close for a three-year refurbishment in September 2025, and unfortunately, this is already being reflected in the service and standards.||Many staff we spoke to were clearly demotivated, likely due to the upcoming closure and job losses. Service was consistently poor, and the food was a real let-down. We were served undercooked steak, stale bread, and inedible starters—none of which were acknowledged or apologised for. Despite leaving much of the meal uneaten and skipping dessert (already paid for), no offer of a refund or gesture of goodwill was made.||At lunch, we asked to sit on the terrace to enjoy the lovely weather but were refused with no clear explanation. We later learned that this option had been withdrawn as part of a scaled-down service, along with room service.||We were upgraded to a suite, which we appreciated, but it was extremely dated. The air conditioning didn’t work, there were no in-room controls, and the fridge was also out of order—though the room itself was clean and tidy.||The spa was, quite frankly, the worst I’ve ever visited. It was visibly dirty throughout—lounge chairs were in an appalling state, the steam room was filthy, and multiple facilities (including the jacuzzi and another steam room) were out of order. Paint was peeling from walls, and the overall environment felt neglected. Reception staff couldn’t provide basic information, such as restaurant opening times, and told us to “Google it.” Ironically, they did advise us not to eat at the bar due to poor food, which turned out to be accurate.||It’s clear this hotel was once exceptional and may well be again after its refurbishment. However, the current condition is unacceptable—especially given that there was no prior warning, no discount on rates, and no acknowledgement of the substandard experience.||Until the refurbishment is complete, I’d recommend looking elsewhere.

I would avoid Luton Hoo Spa. In general this place boasts 5 star quality but they never answer the telephone, the decor is old and tired, the spa service is awful, cobwebs in the ceiling of the pool - yuk! When I did eventually get through on the phone after several weeks of trying, I got a complete dope in the Spa who knew less than me! I booked a birthday treat for myself thinking I would get 5 star treatment. I would call it less the 1 star alround. The massage was painful and not the 55 mins I paid for. The facial - I paid for 55 mins and got about 40 mins with both of them wasting time, dithering here and there and not getting on with the job. A nice lady doing the facial but seemed to fall asleep on my face - nod off in mid facial! Not the professional, relaxing haven that I was expecting. I couldn't get out quick enough and will never go back. Shame on you Luton Hoo! I paid good money for something I could have got better at a local spa and which costs a quarter of the price. I've had copious number of facials and massages over the years and this was by far the worst ever and cost £110 for each - what a waste of money. This was an expensive special birthday treat for myself and totally ruined my day. I will be raising an official complaint when I can find the right email address - that's not on the website. Disgraceful and shameful.

Just returned from one night golf break with wife. We did the same break one year ago and were very impressed so we were very much looking forward to it.|Firstly the staff were as friendly and helpful as I remember from 2024. Room was excellent, spotlessly clean and a incredible powerful shower. |Dinner and breakfast were part of the deal and both were excellent making the whole experience great value.|The whole place is closing down in September for a massive refurbishment so the hotel facilities are scaled back. The 19th hole sports bar closes at 5.30 so the options for the evening are a little limited. |Unfortunately the golf course has been neglected badly. It is very obvious that it is literally being ripped up in September. Tees and greens are in really awful condition. |Word has obviously spread as we we were virtually alone on the golf course on Friday morning. There really should be a substantial discount for the golf side of the break. |Still a thoroughly enjoyable stay.

Lovely getaway for a couple of nights. Great hotel with beautiful grounds. ||The food in the restaurant, although the menu was fairly limited, was very good. Restaurant and bar staff were attentive without being overbearing.||There were a good range of spa treatments to choose from. I had a facial, body scrub and pedicure all expertly provided by my therapist, Fatima.

Elegant and historic hotel, with high ceilings, lots of wood panels and appropriate art work. The staff are friendly and professional and the place has the ambiance of a nice country house. Breakfast is also good, with a selection of hot and cold buffet and some order to table options.

The rooms are both stately and large, but quite tired. Having stayed in multiple rooms, the air con often doesn't work at all, or is ineffectual.

I enjoy staying here, but the refurbishment planned to start later in the year is probably due.

We celebrated our Diamond wedding anniversary here today in the beautiful Churchill room. Everything was absolutely perfect. The food, the table decorations and the cake. The lady who looked after us couldn't have been more helpful. We had a wonderful time, thank you.

Amazing spa weekend at Luton Hoo. Had booked for my husband’s birthday and we had a fantastic time. From check in to check out and everything in between was perfect. Laura checked us in and was extremely efficient, professional and welcoming, she went out of her way to show us to our room whilst stopping to show us parts of the hotel and tell us its history which was very interesting - the building itself is nothing short of stunning. The grounds, main lobby, dining room, lounges etc are absolutely beautiful! Spa is very clean and super relaxing and I had a fantastic aromatherapy massage with Patricia. Dinner and breakfast was excellent and like many others have said, the staff are great - they are an asset. Always friendly, service with a smile and nothing is ever too much trouble. Our room was spacious, exceptionally clean and very comfortable. Highly recommend this hotel it’s worth all its 5 stars. We will absolutely return! Thank you
