Myself and a disabled support client regularly pop into the Palm house Café as it is always much quieter than the other park cafes. We are always greeted with a friendly hello and smile by all members of staff who know us quite well. We are always made to feel welcome and they are always happy to accommodate a need for a mug for his coffee (as is cannot hold the standard cups easily).

Our room was fresh and new, spotless. The staff is welcoming and attentive to every need. Cecile at reception area is very personable and helpful. Mark at the bar was equally friendly. All staff we met were gracious. Breakfast was high quality. We also ate dinner one night and were pleased. Grounds are amazing and location is quiet and convenient.

Lovely setting with polite staff who were happy to help with our early check-in. We were put in a room at the end of the corridor near the fire exit on the first floor, I think this was being used as a service entrance/exit so from 5am onwards the door kept banging open and shut. The walls are paper thin.
The bathroom could have been cleaner as there was mould growing in the corner of the showers and the water comes out cloudy.
Smell of smoke from outside as the window is located right by the smoking area.
Room is minimalistic, bed was fairly comfortable, pillows are thin and no additional offered in the room (we got in late and drunk so didn't ask for another).
Glad it was cheap as it needs a face lift.

What a marvelous and reasonably priced opportunity. The room was well equipped and cozy. Bed was a bit small though. The staff was super attentive and polite. Breakfast had everything we wished for.
The surrounding gardens offer opportunity for short walks. We enjoyed our stay there very much.
