Log fires great bedrooms with en suite facilities a great kitchen with everything you could need and a lovely helpful hostess. We loved our stay here celebrating my wife’s 70th birthday! She was delighted with our daughter’s choice of accommodation. Loved it.! Only one small niggle for me ( the others poo pooed me) was that there was far too much stuff in the kitchen and dining room surfaces and cupboards. This accumulation of stuff is also happening in our own house !! So I notice it more. But still a wonderful property.

Lynne House is a magnificent place to stay. A centuries old house with a fascinating history. Our room was super comfortable with a bath which delighted my husband. Marilyn was a gracious and caring host. A delicious English breakfast was provided. It truely was a home away from home.

‘What a Haven’ …tucked away and so very beautiful. It truly exceeded our expectations and we hope to return. The owners, Marilyn and Meredith were so welcoming and a joy to be with. They were so thoughtful and we definitely felt very at home. |The property itself is stunning and steeped in history so I was in my element. Our room was beautiful and very comfortable and we overlooked the courtyard and could hear the delightful sound of running water from the ponds. The window seat would be the perfect place to sit and read had we had more time….next time ! |Breakfast was absolutely delicious and made with the finest of ingredients 👌.|There was off road parking and the property is so well situated for visiting Blenheim Palace and Oxford, in fact you can jump on a bus which runs every half hour should you wish to leave your car.|What a find this was and our stay at Lyne House and meeting Marilyn & Meredith was the ‘icing on the cake’ !

My husband, daughter, and I stayed two nights at Lyne Guest House. We loved learning about the history of the location from our friendly hosts Marilyn and Meredith! The whole house was comfortable and beautiful! It was exactly what I hoped to stay in while we were there instead of a cookie cutter modern place! The breakfasts were tasty and tailored to our tastes. Marilyn and Meredith were happy to help with pub suggestions and we enjoyed just chatting with them in the sitting room over a glass of wine! We would absolutely stay there again and highly recommend Lyne Guest House!

We stayed at this house as a group of 9 adults for a hen party. The venue was just perfect.||||Marilyn's communication and support was brilliant in the lead up to the stay. Including offering us advice and support on things to do locally. ||||When we arrived she made us so welcome. The property was stunning. It was Spacious, charming and perfect for our group size. There was space for parking. The bedrooms were all beautiful and so comfortable- the standard was so high and i was impressed with all the amenities in each room. We were impressed with the en-suites in all rooms. ||||The hot tub and music facilities were also great for our stay. We certainly made use of these!||||We had the best time at the venue and would highly recommend this for families, friends or hen parties!!

We had such an amazing weekend at Lyne House. The hosts were so accommodating, going out of their way to ensure we had the best time. On arrival, the bride to be (we were on a hen do) was welcomed with a box of chocolates, prosecco and a tray of handmade cakes to celebrate - a lovely touch!
The house itself was full of character, you instantly felt at home. The bedrooms were spacious and very comfortable. The hot tub was great fun and there are lots of things to do in the local area (we went on a nice walk along the canal). Would definitely recommend staying here!

Lyne House was the perfect place for my relaxed hen do. Marilyn was fantastic in communicating during booking and the stay and incredibly welcoming. The house was well equipped for our stay and incredibly comfortable. We loved the hot tub and homey feel.

Quintessential Country Escape
We felt absolutely at home, the moment we were greeted by Marilyn at the door! Lyne House provides an idyllic country getaway from the hustle and bustle of London - plentiful surrounding country walks, fireside pubs and the palace grounds to get lost in... The house has been beautifully restored into a charming B&B while keeping all of its historical wood paneling and stone features, which we loved! The hosts were fantastic and we hope to visit Lyne House again soon.
