Standing proud against a blue sky, Macduff Lighthouse guards the entrance to the impressive harbour. No longer operational, but it still acts as an effective harbour marker. The walk from the nearest parking, by the RNLI station is surprisingly long.

This historic harbour lighthouse stands as a beacon at MacDuff Harbour, Aberdeenshire. You can see the lighthouse from a distance but it is a longer walk to get up close. It is an old working harbour, it is really interesting to walk out beside the thick walls. The lighthouse is not open to the public but it looks like it was recently refurbished. Well worth the effort to come and see this.
