Macready’s was recommended by the Eastbury Hotel as their dining room is currently closed. On approaching you are confronted by a beautiful stone building and it’s just as good inside.
We were met as we enters and soon seated. The waiter was very friendly and informative about the specials, which isn’t always the case.
The food was excellent and our two plus hours just whizzed by.
One thing to mention, and we heard others discussing it, was the toilets-they are amazing!

Macready's: An Unforgettable Anniversary Celebration 🎉

My fiancé and I had an incredible anniversary dinner at Macready's. The staff were exceptional, particularly Eliza (I hope we have spelt her name right!), whose care and good humor made our evening even more special.

Myself and my fiancé exchanged anniversary cards during our meal, and Eliza surprised us with a beautiful "Happy Anniversary" message on our dessert without us ever mentioning the occasion! Props to her attention to detail and initiative!

The food was truly outstanding. I was full halfway through the second course, but it was so delicious I couldn't stop eating! The music playlist was perfect, and the interior design was stunning. The attention to detail was impressive, and the restrooms were uniquely designed.

I highly recommend Macready's. It's the best restaurant I've been to in ages, and I eat out a lot (probably too much!).

10/10 Beautiful place, stunning food and incredible service.
My friends and I dined here last night and the service was exceptional.
I brought along my newborn (4 weeks old) which I was a little nervous about doing as it was our first time being out and about and still navigating routine. I called the restaurant beforehand and I was offered a side room and a discreet table so I could feed him, if required while eating our dinner. These small things made such a big difference to my evening and we were able to relax and fully enjoy ourselves.
Thanks so much for being so accommodating and wonderful, we’ll be back soon.

We had a lovely meal for my dad’s birthday last night. The food was excellent and the restaurant is a great edition to Sherborne’s various places to eat.

The service from everyone was fabulous. My mum is disabled and finds walking difficult. Every effort was made to make sure she was comfortable, sat in a suitable seat for her disability, with even some support to walk to the restrooms. Thank you so much to everyone working that evening. It made my mum and my dad’s evening very enjoyable and special.

Had a wonderful meal at Macreadys this evening. I ordered the vegetarian option and it was absolutely delicious. The service was outstanding……friendly, very knowledgeable, respectful and caring. A really lovely experience.

We had lunch at this restaurant as a group of three and were quite disappointed with our experience. While the staff were attentive, the overall presentation of the food left much to be desired. The salad served with the crab was overly basic, consisting only of leaves, a strip of carrot, and radish dropped into a bowl with no presentation or finesse. Additionally, the sourdough bread served with the crab did not complement the delicate flavors well; a plain brown bread or soda bread would have been a better choice. The chicken supreme dish was subpar, with fibrous, possibly pre-frozen meat. How easy is it to serve fresh chicken these days?! Overall, the quality of the food was mediocre, and we left feeling disappointed.

Fabulous lunch - food was delicious and the service was excellent - possibly the best I have had for a long time. Lovely atmosphere. Would really recommend a visit.
