We arrived pretty late, the car park is located at the rear of the property remotely opened when I phone the hotel. We were greeted warmly by Marina and David, both were really pleasant and chatty, they were pleased to see us. They offered to help with our cases. The room was nice, quirky decor, extra pillows arrived as requested. The only small negative was the mattress was a little harder than we are used to. Breakfast was scrummy and the menu variety was endless. Marina and David are very good hosts who would do anything for you. Keep up the excellent work you both do at Mama's Inn. If we ever go back to Nottingham they will get our repeat patronage.

We stayed in the Casablanca room (and my sister and husband in St Petersburg) for very slightly less than the price of a room at a local 4 star hotel, the concept seemed to be a mix between the movie and an eastern riad, with the decor quite busy and dated in parts. The beds were not as comfortable as I would have liked. The breakfast aromas of fried food flooded the room in the morning and the outside bustle were a distraction through the night. ||The service and reception was ok but I always feel uncomfortable when I’m made to feel like I’m a problem which is what I did when we had to coordinate access into the car park when we arrived just after 9pm (from a day at a local spa), was then discouraged to use our car to go and eat out (it seemed to be based on the convenience of the establishment and not ours) or when I arrived at breakfast and had to go in search for a simple coffee it would have been nice if the breakfast service was attentive and to have been asked (especially as I had ellude to it being important the evening prior). I didn’t take advantage of a cooked breakfast (so can’t comment on taste or product quality) but from I saw it looked well presented and value for money. ||This seemed like a pleasant family run business that in its hey day would have been an attractive place in the city, I think with a bit of a reboot, concept refresh and reinvigorated service quality, could be again.

We booked the Guest house at the last minute , We called the hotel directly to get a better deal then the booking agent , But with the hotel 5% hotel discount , they couldn't match the booking agent , The guest House is run by a wonderful couple friendly and polite . The Room was really nice and the decoration maybe not everyone's cup of tea , but hat off to the couple , they have stick with there style. The room was a bite small and the mattress need a change . We did love the place and the couple . Note you have to book your parking in advance and it cost £10

I had stayed at Mama's Inn when travelling solo a couple of years back, and I had tremendously enjoyed the place, and the warm welcome given by Marina and David. So when planning to spend 3 nights in Nottingham again this year during a trip with my brother, I didn't hesitate a moment to book a room at Mama's Inn again.|The great stuff first:|As already mentioned, Marina and David are great hosts. Very friendly and welcoming, and always up for a chat, making you feel almost like family.|While this Luxury B&B doesn't come cheap, it's in a great location, within easy walking distance of the city centre, and it offers secure on-site parking, which can be difficult to find in cities, unless you opt for a large corporate hotel. It is then also the personal touch and the quirkiness and individuality of each room that make this B&B so special, and which attracted me in the first place.|David cooks an absolutely fabulous breakfast, and the breakfast room has great atmosphere.||Now, there are a few things to point out:|The room "Tokyo", which we had booked, is one of the bigger ones, and the unusual decor does make you feel as if you had stepped right into Japan! It is, however, quite dark, as lighting doesn't seem sufficient. And it does feel a bit cramped (I hit my legs a a few times when navigating my way round the bed), although that may just come with a townhouse so close to the centre and probably can't be helped.|The drawback of this particular room (in contrast to the single room I had stayed in before, which was to the back of the building and therefore very quiet) is that it faces the extremely busy main road. Unlike me, my brother also didn't feel very comfortable in the low-lying bed, so he found that he didn't sleep very well during the 3 nights.|While on-site parking is available, it is limited. Perfect if you don't use the car during your stay. A bit trickier if you leave in the morning and then come back at the end of the day, when the allocated spaces may already be occupied. It must be said, though, that David helped us get an alternative space.|A last thing I probably should have mentioned during our stay (but we were in a bit of a rush at the time): I do appreciate the efforts to limit the amount of laundry for the benefit of the environment, but on one of the days, we had deliberately left our towels on the floor, with the expectation that they would be replaced - which turned out not to be the case.

A somewhat different boutique experience. The rooms are somewhat smaller than in the pictures. They are clean and the bathroom was good with decent water pressure. Where this place excels is the breakfast. It was an amazing culinary experience, probably the best hotel breakfast I have ever had. It's worth staying here just for that. Apparently they also do dinners if booked a few days in advance.

Please do yourself a favour and do not book this place, it is not as advertised!|We were to stay one night and left without even unpacking. The room was so tiny and cluttered we could hardly fit our luggage in let alone ourselves. Extremely overpriced for what was presented! The hosts also charged us twice for parking and were totally disinterested in any enquires. Not sure how it has a 4.5 star rating!
