We came here at 10am and had the full English. Staff is friendly and welcoming and the food was simply delicious. Good sausages, perfectly fried egg, tasty bubble and squeak and the bread was buttered before toasting. I can only recommend this place!

In the heart of the hustle and bustle of borough market but a welcomed rest spot. This place is very popular, glad they had some tables available. Very kind staff, I had bad tremors but they made me feel at ease. Latte was beautiful, smooth taste. I had the bubble & squeak with sausage and cheese sandwich. Very generous portion but I powered through and ate it all lol. Was very tasty and great quality.

Delicious breakfast. Really tasty, very generous portions. Excellent value for money. Hayley, Laura and all the team are really lovely and helpful. Speedy friendly service. Really good to have vegan options for English breakfast and vegan burger too, not enough places do this. Great setting in the heart of Borough Market. Nice lively vibe. Loved it so much I went back 2 days straight. Highly recommended, looking forward to next time already! Oh and it's King Charles' and Queen Camilla's favourite caff, marked by royal assent! Thanks again

Great service & great food. My party ordered the bacon, bubble & cheese roll and the egg, bacon cheese roll. Both were amazing & was a lot of food for the price. Myself and the person I was with are average/lighter eaters and easily could have split the roll. The cafe is located in a nice quiet corner of Borough Market and had some seating as well.

Maria’s Market Cafe is a lovely little spot tucked away between the hustle and bustle of Borough Market—a real hidden gem! The menu serves up comforting, no-frills British classics that hit the spot, and the atmosphere feels authentically local, with views of the Shard and London Bridge just around the corner.

While the bacon was a touch overcooked and the iced coffee could’ve been fresher (and fuller!), the overall experience was still great—especially considering the reasonable prices for central London. Hopefully they’ll have Cracked Black Pepper next time!

Fantastic value, warm vibes, and a spot I’ll definitely be coming back to soon!X

A nice place inside the market too sit down and have lunch. I had the fish and chips. Good portions and the fish was cooked just right.

The food was decent, but the service was disappointingly slow. Despite the restaurant not being crowded, we had to wait around 25–30 minutes for just two English breakfasts. We also requested some salt, but no one followed up or returned with it.

On a positive note, I was impressed to see a vegetarian option for the English breakfast — a thoughtful addition for non-meat eaters.

Overall, it wasn’t a worst experience, but the service definitely needs improvement.

This is a nice haven in the tremendously busy Borough market. We were hot, parched and bought several Cokes apiece. They were quite generous and let us sit in their café area, in a market with very few opportunities to sit. The market is full of lemonade and juices, but if you want a nice cold soda, this is the place.
