Lovely if slightly remote location(it's not that far from Harrogate but it's very rural with single track unlit roads). Rooms clean and comfortable. Staff friendly. I would definitely visit again. Oh, and Monday nights in the area it's almost impossible to get a hot meal, so plan ahead 🙂

What a great find this was! We wanted a nice place to stay for Ripon Races . The Masons Arms far exceeded our expectations, set in a small village not far from the race course .
The room was excellent and had a nice en suite with shower.
Downstairs the pub was true country style and the food both good and reasonably priced .
Everyone was very welcoming and happy to chat.
If you want an idyllic place to stay then I have no hesitation in recommending The Masons Arms .

Staff were lovely and very welcoming on our arrival for our 1 night stay. Room was lovely and set up very nice with lovely soft bedding and towels. Kettle, tea bags, coffee, milk and sugar were all provided as well as breakfast options. Will definitely return when in the area again. 10/10

Our car had broken down and the lovely man cooked a pizza for us even though they were closed, THEN, refused to accept payment for it. What a nice fella, thank you ?

The Sunday roast is one of the best ever. After picking my partner up from travelling back to the uk for 24 hours when I asked her where she wanted to eat she said straight away The Masons Arms. Everything about this place from the staff, service to the quality of the food is excellent

Fabulous apartment with kitchen and balcony. Very peaceful village. Stayed there for Ripon races. Approx £14 for taxi each way. Save that by self-catering. Great beer in pub. Great hosts.
