Booked a table here for our family, didn't really check any details or reviews. What a great pub! Amazing views! Really friendly service, great beer, well kept ales. Food was excellent too all 6 of us enjoyed! Very accommodating for baby's. Could have stayed there all day if we weren't driving! We were on our way back to bowness so only a small diversion. Definitely recommend

We go here for lunch every Friday lunchtime, I can’t vouch for the rooms, from what I’ve heard they are excellent, I can however recommend the food highly. I have had lots of items over the weeks, from Cumberland sausage and mustard mash to the burger and chips there’s not been a bad dish. The staff are helpful and courteous even in the face of 10 of us walking in at once.
No hesitation in giving a 5 star review.

We had a fantastic stay at the Mason Arms Inn! Huge thanks to Eugene and the team for their warm hospitality and for being so wonderful with our dog, Miss Minnie. The doggy welcome box and blanket were such a lovely touch. The views were stunning, and the Cartmel Fell suite was fabulous — cozy, stylish, and perfect for a relaxing getaway. Highly recommend — we’ll definitely be back!

My husband and I have just returned home from a lovely week in the Lake District.|Parking at Gummers Howe we set off on our circular walk.|Arriving at this wonderful pub we enjoyed a delicious Sunday roast served by a very friendly team. We could of spent all afternoon here, but needed to return to the car.|It was whilst walking back the weather suddenly changed and the rain and wind was terrible!! we could barely see in front our faces.|We decided to head for the road so it would be easier to walk. Very quickly we were both wet through and there was no sign of it letting up.|Several cars passed us when I noticed that 1 large one had stopped.|The car turned around and stopped right in front of us, the driver a young man put his window down and asked if he could give us a lift. It was the manager we had seen whilst having lunch.|My heart could of melted. I told him we were vey wet as I was worried about his car, he said I know you are that's why I turned around, don't worry about my car.|He very kindly put his heating on full and took us right back to our car.|Telling my family this on our return home, my grand daughter suggested I write this, although she is doing it for me and I think its just wonderful I can let people know what a gentleman he is.|Thank you so much Mary and John x

Had a lovely few days away at Masons Arms. Lovely friendly atmosphere and staff were very friendly and attentive. Good value for money. Food was excellent and the breakfast sets you up for the day. A very pleasant stay. Thank you

Very grateful to the staff for squeezing us in for a meal last minute on the weekend when they were busy, and with a toddler. We had a lovely table by the fire and there was a really nice, chilled out cosy atmosphere. Food came out in good time, good portions, and tasted great. Staff were on top of things like topping up drinks and clearing plates etc. Parking can be a bit of a struggle but other than that no complaints! Will be back to try the rest of the menu!

Masons Arms is a great pub that offers an excellent selection of drinks and genuinely good food. I tried the ’Nduja prawns, which were absolutely top-notch — full of flavour and perfectly cooked. The chicken wings were decent.

The service was warm and comforting, making for a relaxed and enjoyable experience. If you’re near Windermere and looking for a cosy spot to unwind in the evening, I highly recommend visiting this place.

Visit for Sunday dinner!
This was a very disappointing meal. Expectations were high as previous visits have been good. Unfortunately, all 5 of us did not enjoy our meals. The roast dinners had undercooked vegetables with no seasoning on carrots or parsnips, the nut roast was not very tasty and just disappointing and there was a very small portion of gravy. We asked for 2 more jugs and were given one. The veggie burger was not a ready made one and very underwhelming. The ribs were a bit burnt unfortunately. The whole meal was disappointing as we booked due to our previous brilliant experience of the restaurant. These concerns were politely passed on to wait staff and were not reflected in the bill. We felt reluctant to pay the full prices for meals that were not enjoyable. Not rushing back.
