Stayed as a group of friends attending a wedding. 5 rooms so only small but clean and well presented. We were met by Maggie, who communicated up to our arrival and welcomed us. A really informal setting, with a communal breakfast setting, with complimentary cereal, toast, and hot drinks. We were attending a wedding nearby so was ideal for us but there isn’t much locally, with the local pub being closed down.

We arrived to a warm and friendly welcome from the host, who made us feel at home. The rooms were immaculate, spacious and very comfortable. We were provided with all facilities, even a hairdryer and iron! So well thought out for their guests. Breakfast was a feast with fresh fruit, yoghurts, bagels , crumpets and a selection of cereals. We loved our stay here and will definitely will visit again!

Great place. I wanted a twin room as I was dropping my son at Uni and the location was perfect. Warm and friendly welcome and the room was very smart and clean. Good shower too. Village is charming and an excellent pub was less than a minute’s walk. Great value.

The room was clean, modern and comfortable with good quality furnishings and facilities. Lots of options for breakfast available to help yourself. Booking was really easy with excellent communication both at the time of booking and the day before the visit. Located in a lovely village and very easy to get to. We will definitely stay again next time we are in the area. A big thank you to Maggie for going above and beyond to get my son’s favourite toy back to him before bedtime!

Such a beautiful homely feel and amazing hosts both Maggie and Adam made me feel perfectly at ease.
The accommodation was absolutely spot on clean comfortable and welcoming. I cannot recommend maypole farm enough. I will certainly be returning. Thank you Maggie and family for your extremely warm welcome.

We had a lovely stay with a welcoming and friendly host who could not do enough for us! The rooms were comfortable, modern and clean with all facilities included. There was a great selection of food for breakfast such as, croissants, fresh fruit, crumpets, yoghurts, cereals and juices we were spoilt for choice! We would definitely return again when visiting Yorkshire.

Stayed 2 nights with friends. Lovely warm, clean, fresh smelling accommodation, good hot shower and nice towels. Plenty of choice for the continental breakfast to help yourself to included in the price. Would definitely recommend to friends and stay again if visiting York. Ate twice at the pub opposite which was a super bonus!
