We stayed at the Garden cottage with my husband and two kids under 2. The cottage was so lovely and roomy, and everything we needed was provided. The small playroom was essential when it rained and our son loved playing on the golf course and outdoor playground when the weather allowed. Pool was also lovely, and have to give a shoutout to all staff which were amazing (especially owner of the restaurant). Would definitely go and stay again but perhaps when the kids are slightly older.

Stayed in Melfort Village (farm cottage 2) recently after a recommendation from friends. I was looking for something tranquil and authentic and this is exactly what I got. Such beautiful driving roads to get there from Oban and the cottage was very tastefully decorated with a definite touch of luxury. Very comfortable indeed. I spent the evening in the on site bar (the gunpowder cafe) where a number of locals were singing and playing old Scottish songs. It most definitely added to my experience as did some very playful, happy lambs I encountered on my walk there. Beautiful grounds and a number of facilities such as swimming pool, games lounge and tennis courts that I never had time to use but I will most definitely return.

We had a wonderful stay at Melford Village! The setting is absolutely beautiful, with lovely views that made our time there peaceful and relaxing. The facilities were excellent—well-maintained, clean, and thoughtfully provided for a comfortable experience. It was the perfect spot for a quiet getaway, and we would definitely love to return. Highly recommended!

We had a fantastic stay at Melfort Village in February 2025, staying in Walled Garden Mews 2. From start to finish, the experience was exceptional. The accommodation was clean, comfortable, and well-equipped, providing a perfect retreat after our long journey from London.||A special mention must go to Olwen Goulding, whose outstanding hospitality truly made our trip even more enjoyable. Despite arriving late in the evening, she answered our call after 8 PM and kindly provided us with directions, ensuring we reached safely. Her warmth and dedication to guest service were truly commendable.||Melfort Village itself is a gem—beautifully maintained, peaceful, and surrounded by stunning scenery. Whether you’re looking for relaxation or adventure, this place has something for everyone. We highly recommend it and will definitely be returning

We just love this place and have been visiting for over 20 years. The units are very different but all lovely, well maintained and clean - and we’ve tried quite a few. The staff are so welcoming and helpful, nothing is too much trouble. And it’s dog friendly, including in the restaurant, so that’s a bonus! As usual we can’t wait to go back - and we will be in October.

We have been coming to Melfort for 40+ years and it never fails to live up to expectations. The staff are lovely and endlessly helpful. The facilities and gardens are very well maintained and the overall experience is one of home from home.

This isn't a Hotel this is a mini self catering paradise. Melford Village offers something for everyone, of all ages. The staff are great, the Powder Room restaurant provided 1st Class catering and service. This is an annual event for us, one not to be missed!

We just love this place. The units are all lovely and well maintained - and we’ve tried quite a few. The staff are so welcoming and helpful. It’s a great place to relax and it feels like coming home. Can’t wait to go back, and we will be in October.
