First time here. We stay in aveline room in the lodge for bank holiday weekend.
Very comfortable bunk beds much better then usual hostel type and included en suite toilet and shower. No noise policy at 10pm with perfect as had young child.
Breakfast was self service and included in the price which consisted of hot drinks, orange juice, cereal , yogurts, fruit, pastries, and toast. Plus gluten free options. (Breakfast was never busy)
The food at lodge was reasonable priced and was very good.
The lodge is very close to the activity centre, but note site is hilly, make sure you have suitable footwear.
We had child under 7 in party so only took part in tobogganing, orienteering, and 18 hole Frisbee golf. We really enjoyed these and staff at activity centre were very helpful.
Live music by local bands at the lodge was an added bonus on 3 nights again all free.
Highly recommended Mendip lodge and we now looking to book next year!

The ambiance was prefect. We got there just in time before it got really busy. Only down side was the ham egg and chips was an extremely small portion. I would say good for a child but not a grown man. Onion rings, sausage and chips and chicken goujons all lovely and good size for children. Poor desert menu but I suppose makes it easier for chefs

Had a lovely stay at the mendip lounge, 4 adults 4 children. 9 Bunk room was spacious and clean.
Breakfast and ordering food was a dream, as I am Coeliac and felt very catered for and safe. We enjoyed the activities and camp facilities. Live music and s'mores were an added bonus.

We walked down to here for our meal the first night we stayed at Basecamp. The firepit was going with lots around it doing smores. There were tons of tables and the place as super clean and the staff really helpful and friendly.

The pizza was really nice and my children loved them and my pulled pork fries were very flavourful and filling. The general atmosphere here is nice and they have live music also at times. Very much worth the visit.

Went with a large group of people. We went in for self-catering, hence unable to comment much on service. But when we had some issues, they were sorted quickly. Loved the fact that all rooms had en-suite facilities! Lack of storage spaces in the rooms was a problem.

Popped in for some food and drinks after some activities as the Alpine Lodge was shut.

Spacious with outdoor and indoor seating.

The food was basic and quite pricey for what it was - however it was filling and well prepared.

Disappointing that the footpath is difficult to find and being constantly met by private land signs when trying to walk past Mendip Lodge. I’m all for this activity centre but try harder at being apart of the surrounding countryside.
