We love the place and have come back a few times. We got one of the suites this time and loved the room. The general state and cleanliness of the room was good, but as we moved one of the sofas so it faced the TV, we found a lot of dirt that had obviously been overlooked. A deep or more careful cleaning session every now and then would improve the quality to a 10.
The staff are always friendly and helpful at reception, the bar, and the breakfast area.
The facilities are also nice and we enjoy a good swim or gym session every morning before having our breakfast.
Overall, we left the hotel happy seeing that it has had some TLC and we hope things keep getting better.

We recently got married at Tankersley Manor and WOW, where to begin?! ||From the minute we booked nearly 2 years ago to the wedding day itself Jess was completely incredible. We cannot praise her highly enough, we knew from the minute we visited and met that she knew her job inside and out and trusted her wholeheartedly with our big day! Nothing was ever too much, no question too small and she was there every step of the way. ||There were a fair few changes for guests closer to the wedding which had us in a mild panic but Jess was totally unphased by it all, which just goes to show how good she is at her job. ||On the day, we were looked after by Luke and his team (Freya, Shannon, Rhi and Nicoletta) who all made sure everything went smoothly and again, nothing was too much at all. From speaking just before the wedding to the day itself, Luke put us at ease instantly and was there for anything we needed. Everything was organised and the day ran like clockwork - completely on time and everything as it was supposed to be. ||The food was great, the service was excellent and the guests really enjoyed everything. We had a few comments about how the food service was the best they’ve had at a wedding as it was all really quick and efficient. Given that there was also another wedding on the day in the other suite and then also another private function too, I cannot fault anything at all. ||I cannot praise the Tankersley Team enough. Our big day was amazing and we are eternally grateful for everything they’ve done for us. We can’t wait to come back and relive it all again!

A week since what our guests are calling an ‘Epic Wedding’||Jess from day 1 in September 2022 you have been an absolute star! You always found time for us and our million questions. You were thorough and informative from the start and your commitment to your brides & grooms was second to none. Nothing was too big or too small. In the end it felt like catching up with a friend.||Abi, the contact and effort put into our day was amazing. I never worried about where anything was, where I needed to be and how safe our personal belongings were you,were an absolute star! Even if I couldn’t find my veil the morning after the wedding … bloody drunken groom threw his stuff all over it, when you knew how special it was and placed it so carefully into our bridal suit. As far as I am aware the whole day ran smoothly. (If it didn’t then you did a cracking job of hiding it)||The rest of the hotel staff were lovely, everyone went above and beyond to ensure our stay was perfect and that our weekend experience was one to remember.||The spa was lovely, my guests made use of that the day before. ||The food was delicious, I’m still getting comments…. Canapés, wedding breakfast, evening buffet (Indian and kebabs were a hugs hit) even the breakfasts and meal in the restaurant the night before.||Thank you for everything, we are still beaming.||Dean & Emma xx

Had a wonderful afternoon at the Spa with my Partner, thoroughly enjoyed our time here. We also had treatments, Debbie gave me a fantastic facial and my partner had Pippa for a back massage which he said was fantastic and she did a 10/10 job! The only downside was when I used the showers afterwards, there was no shower gel whatsoever, this clearly was a mistake as they hadn’t been filled but a little inconvenience when paying the price we did and the changing rooms could do with a spruce up/looking after a little better. Other than that, great afternoon!

We had our wedding at Tankersley Manor in September and it was absolutely perfect! The wedding coordinator Jess was amazing from our first visit to the day itself and couldn't have been more helpful. Luke, our wedding manager on the week of the wedding, was absolutely lovely and made everything run smoothly despite how hectic things can be on the day. The food was great and the DJ kept the dancefloor full all night, we couldn't have wished for a better day. I just wish we could do it all again!

Good size of room but probably a bit tired in decor/bathroom. Bar area was very cold - combination of 2 weddings meant people kept setting off the automatic doors a. wind in the wrong direction! Restaurant offered a range of upmarket pub grub - could be better.

I use this when I start for work and I can say I have always enjoyed my stay here. The staff are always super welcoming, the food is good and lots if choice. Room service is also very friendly and prompt. There is a spa and beauty salon I might try next time as it looks really lovely. Plenty of parking and super convenient to use for Sheffield and Barnsley. Very reasonable price for what you get and the breakfast I had last time I visit was not only very well cooked with lots of choice, the chef was the most friendly and wonderfully engaging person that it made my morning!
