Stayed a couple times already and was surprised by how stylish and modern the place felt. The rooms were bright, clean, the bed was incredibly comfortable, and a large monsoon shower which was chef’s kiss.

Location-wise, it’s spot on—just a short walk into town, handy for shops and cafes, and a great base for day trips around Somerset. There's also a Marco Pierre White steakhouse downstairs. Staff were lovely all round, really helpful.

Free wifi on site. Parking is available for £10 per night (limited space). Late check-out up to 5pm additional charge of £25. They have cots which are free of charge. Tea and coffee facilities in the room and a mini fridge.

If I had to nitpick: our room faced the road so there was a bit of noise (nothing awful, but worth asking for a quieter one if you're a light sleeper)

Big plus: they are dog-friendly! (there is a fee of £15 per night) A nice touch was the complimentary bottle of still and sparkling water in the fridge.

PS love the spiral fruit holder

Great hotel. The location is good for exploring Somerset. Room was great with amazing bathroom. We were travelling with a dog and member of staff who was checking us in was super considerate (sorry, can't remember the name). The room was clean and well equipped. Really quiet. We didn't try the restaurant or bar but would definitely return.

Nice clean and comfortable hotel. We have stayed here twice recently.|Pleasant rooms with good air conditioning. Breakfast is pretty good but not dined in the evening here yet. Oriental lady behind bar deserves a special |mention as really excellent.|Only downside is not fault of hotel and that is surrounding area situated |by derelict supermarket and dingy terraced buildings. Still you do not come |to Bridgwater for the best West Country views/sites.

The hotel was lovely, clean nice decor and helpful staff. The meals we had were so nice, thoroughly enjoyed it.
We used the hotel as it wasn't too far from Wells cathedral and it was a good deal. The cathedral was well worth a visit and Wells was a lovely city, with a lot independent shops.

I will preface this review that we have stayed at this hotel before, in a superior room and it was a very nice room. However on this occasion, we had booked a standard room. I would hope that it was luck of the drawer and not all standard rooms are like the one we had, as it was in an internal corner and was probably one of each location on every floor and was very small and claustrophobic. The only window was 6ft up on the wall and could not be opened and offered no view. The air conditioning unit wheezed and clanked all night. The bed could only be described as sufficient, as we have experienced far better mattresses in a Premier Inn for a fraction of the price. The towels were so rough it was like drying yourself with sandpaper.
As for the service, our reception on check-in was at best disinterested, not ourright rude, just felt like we were interrupting her. At breakfast, when we arrived both staff were at a raised table folding napkins, the lady did not leave her seat to greet us or at all during our time in the restaurant and talked to her colleague and laughed loudly incessantly. Not the representation I would expect Marco Pierre White would expect. The breakfast was average, as the beans and mushrooms were dried up. We had to ask for bowls for cereal, as these had not been refreshed, nor had the milk or take away cups for coffee. All in all it was a disappointing experience and we will not return.

We chose the hotel because the Hotels.com filter said the hotel was dog friendly. The hotel was not dog friendly at all. On arrival I was given an A4 sheet of paper with the rules for the dog, not exactly the warm welcome we were expecting. Unfortunately dogs are allowed in reception and the bedroom but that is all so we couldn’t eat in the bar area as dogs aren’t allowed. Also dogs are not allowed to be left in the room alone so adults can’t eat in the bar either. On booking the lovely lady called Jasmine said she would give us a room next to the fire exit which she did (Jasmine is a credit to the team), unfortunately the restaurant manager saw me using the fire exit and said that I wasn’t allowed to do that again, another example of not such a dog friendly hotel. Definitely would not stay again as the hotel is in a very undesirable area. The two bar staff we met were friendly as was Jasmine on reception when we checked out.

Delightful and welcoming staff. Spotlessly clean with great in-room facilities. Breakfast is buffet style and good quality. Lunch is high quality with a Marco Pierre White restaurant in the evening. Free on-site parking and although on a busy road it is remarkably and totally quiet. A real pleasure to have based ourselves here for a few days away to explore this area of the Somerset and Devon.

Brilliant hotel and restaurant staff. Very good service, friendly staff and amazing food. Had a slight issue with other hotel guests (no fault on the hotel staff) which was quickly sorted at 3am. Looking forward to my next stay, these stays are booked for work purposes and this hotel is on another level compared to others used.
