Average stay overall. Room functional but dated: lacked a fridge which is standard in most hotels. Comfortable bed.|Some issues we found: iron mark burned into carpet and paintwork chipped in many places; bathroom taps and shower curtain very old and dated. We stayed 2 nights and our room was never cleaned during our stay, leaving 2 rubbish bins for 2 days - not acceptable practice. Also the milk and tea and coffee were not replenished during our stay. Yes, I could have requested this but, quite frankly, I do not think I should have needed to as these things should be part of daily standard practice in a hotel.|Location is excellent for central Glasgow and very close to Queen Street station which is good.

We reserved a meeting room, the furniture and the room in general is old and not the best quality. Also, the AC is not working.
However, the service is fantastic, the staff extremely helpful and tried their best to provide and address all our concerns, especially, Crispy, who was providing constant support the whole day.
The location is very good and accessible.

On my way back home from Northern Scotland I decided to overnight in Glasgow on my way home to Yorkshire. I'm so glad I decided to break up my journey in this way. At check-in I received a warm welcome and was given all the information I needed. My room contained everything I needed and was very comfortable, especially the bed. After a good night's sleep I was shown to the dining area, where a fantastic breakfast buffet was laid out. Plenty of time for breakfast, I wasn't rushed at all. After breakfast I checked out and was able to leave my luggage in a secure room while I went off to do some sightseeing. I did the hop on hop off bus and then I joined a free tour of the City Chambers. After an enjoyable day, I collected my case and went to catch my train home. All members of staff I encountered were friendly, helpful and happy to talk. The attitude of staff can make such a difference to a customer's stay. I should like to point out that the hotel management should be very proud of their staff. I shall definitely stay here again. Thank you 😊

We stayed at the Mercure Hotel in Glasgow city centre and had a really pleasant experience. The location is absolutely perfect — right in the heart of the city, making it easy to explore everything Glasgow has to offer.

A special mention goes to Rowan and Mathew from the staff, who were incredibly friendly and helpful throughout our stay.

The rooms are a bit on the smaller side, but they were clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed for a short stay. We also appreciated the luggage storage service before check-in — very convenient for travellers arriving early.

Overall, the service was great and genuinely friendly. I’d happily stay here again next time I’m in Glasgow.

Had a two day stay with work event and used both bedrooms and conference rooms. Bedrooms were comfortable and clean. It was a little tired in the bathrooms. Staff were lovely. Food was excellent (breakfast and buffet lunch). Conference rooms were perfect for what we needed. Would happily use again.

Another very good stay at Mercure Glasgow. Quick check in by a very efficient, friendly and helpful Mathew. All the staff were great and the chef even came past to check our meal was ok. Dinner and breakfast were again very good with all items available and well stocked on the buffet breakfast. Small problem with the room safe was fixed within minutes. The hotel is close to train stations and shops,literally on the doorstep. The room was perfect for our needs though not the best view from a side room. Overall excellent value and we look forward to returning.

We were there at Glasgow with our family. The hotel was fabulous by its location and connectivity to the nearby rail station and the bus station which were essential for our tours from Glasgow. Food at the hotel was deliciously amazing. Chef Praveen was very kind and helpful. He is well aware of surroundings and the places nearby. Rohan at the front desk was an amazing person. Overall it was a very good experience at the hotel.

A very well run hotel with polite staff and prompt service - one of the best I've seen. Location is as central as you can get and of course, with that comes a little noise on the streets at night (ask for a back room). Room very nice but the bath/shower could do with renovation. Excellent room cleaning which is rare in these type of hotels.
