Stayed for the Allo Allo weekend. Check in was easy and straightforward. Room was great, no lift but we had noticed this before arriving but the staff were more than helpful and willing to carry bags so wasn’t a problem at all. There was a stair lift to the first floor if needed. Afternoon tea was divine, staff were on hand to ask any questions (I have a few dietary requirements) but were all knowledgable and knew the answers to my questions!! The dinner was in the Lakeside Suite which is a lovely room. The food was perfect, cleared away and served at really good times with the act. The manager and staff on shift were brilliant and service was flawless. The Allo Allo cast / entertainment was fantastic!! Belly laughing all evening!! Very good night sleep, very comfy bed and a delicious, incredibly varied breakfast!! We have already booked on for the Fawlty Towers Christmas weekend in November!!

Arrived and went to reception where we met Zeek ,our host. He walked us to our pod for our afternoon tea.|Lovely, spacious ,autumnal decorated pod with heating, music playing which you can download your own onto.|Endless tea & coffee arrived, then the food, one of which was Gluten Free. Plenty of GF choice which was amazing. Sandwiches were cheese n pickle, ham, egg & tuna. A selection of sweet delights and one scone( very nice,warm..would have loved two).|Zeek was lovely and checked on us regularly. |We weren't rushed and had plenty to eat and drink. Pod was cosy and made tge tea feel special. |(Only disappointment were the awful toilets near reception. Outdated and dirty, not a great first impression of the place)

My experience was mixed in with an event which was happening. So i felt a little in the way. Its a venue for people not primarily a hotel. Pot luck really when you stay i feel.

Feedback, when an events going on put it out on the socials and booking pages as a good idea.

We have just returned from a fabulous 3 night stay booked through secret escapes. Our package included bed, breakfast and £25 each towards evening meal each night of our stay and a free cocktail each on the first night. The food was delicious and the service excellent. The room was spacious and bed extremely comfortable. All of the staff were friendly, efficient and professional but we have to mention the lovely receptionist Sol who went above and beyond to make our stay so wonderful. She really is an asset to the hotel. We will definitely return as apart from all of the above the hotel is ideally located for easy access to neighbouring towns and cities but has a beautiful tranquil setting.

Stayed here for a few days and was super impressed with everything. The property was beautiful and a had a lovely drive up to it which was a nice touch. I was greeted by a lovely lady called Soveiga and I must tell you she is an absolute credit to this hotel. Her service her smile her can do attitude is something you don’t find easily. No matter what the issue was she went above and beyond and to deliver exceptional service that is second to none. We travelled with elderly guests and one in a wheelchair plus kids. Although we faced challenges she ensured she made our stay as relaxing and easy as possible which helped us a lot. My daughter has her own milk and she went and got me a mini fridge for the room and I cannot thank her enough. She was such a joy to speak to. The hotel rooms were cleaned very well and although dated ever so slightly it was a very beautiful building with lovely grounds. I definitely would recommend staying here and for the price it is definitely worth it. There was good parking outside including disable bays and the there were no noise issue despite there being coach of guests and a wedding party.

We first visited the Bowden Hall (which is located in its own grounds) 2 years ago and had a real good short break, with a lovely room overlooking the front, food from a very impressive menu and superb service from all the staff. Our visit in September did not fully live up to our expectations. We were initally shown to a room which had a tree outside and was so dark at 3pm we had to turn the lights on. |However, the very helpful lady on reception offered us 2 alternative rooms, one of which was much better, although on the top floor. The room had not been used and was not as clean as they boasted on the card in the room.|The menu had changed dramatically as was much more fish & Chips, pie & chips, burger, pizza etc. Having said that, we did enjoy the meals, except that they ran out of the steak pies and the vanilla ice cream on the second evening. The Maitre D (Adi?)was very apologetic and offered a free drink to compensate. In fact, all the staff, apart from the bar tender (Steve?) who looked very under dressed compared the the rest of the staff and was not only rude to us (he refused to provide the drink) but also about the Maitre D (said he didn't know what he was talikng about). Again the Maitre D came to rescue and adjusted the bill to cover the drinks.|Whilst we enjoyed our stay at the Hall, sadly, we cannot say that it matched level of our previous visit.

We attended and stayed for a family wedding it was expensive at the bar and at the wedding reception bar. The wedding dinner was very good, it was tasty and hot when it came to the table. The staff were okay , the servers and those in the breakfast room were better than the staff facilitating the wedding.
