Fantastic hotel in the very heart of Nottingham. I've being staying here for over 2 years (100+ nights per year). You'll be treated to all the charm to be expected from a building that is some 200 years old, plenty of nooks & crannies, creaky floorboards, some quirky themed rooms and of course a vibrant atmosphere for a hotel that is within walking distance of fantastic restaurants & bars to suit all tastes.(Bar Iberico and Pizza Pilgrims are a must). The best of Nottingham's steep history is quite literally on your doorstep ready to explore making the hotel a unique location in the city centre.

However, for me it's the team that really make the hotel stand out from the crowd. Expect the warmest welcome, expert knowledge of the city, together with a real sense of being there to make your stay as comfortable as possible. Really hard to put in words the extent of support I've experienced overall, warm, friendly, safe, pretty much like an extended family.

Wonderfully recommended, wonderfully different and definitely worth a visit. Enjoy!

Comfortable clean room, well equipped. Not so keen on the view of brick walls and ducting but didn't really matter as it was a one night stop for an arena show. Good breakfast, staff helpful with a dietary allergy.

If you just want to put your head down.
Dont think for a minute you will be able to get ready for ans evening or event
Or enjoy the space as there is No space.
We stayed in 409 and I felt like I was in Japan staying in one of those shoe boxes.
By far the smallest hotel room I have ever stayed in, to date.
The lady on reception in the morning was lovely, she made it a tad better. But we won't return.

Just a response to the reply.
We asked the man on reception if they were there bigger rooms, we were told in a very sarcastic tone that they were all the same size and even smaller.
Also when booking online we booked a double room they were no other options for bigger rooms. Should there have been a bigger room to book as I booked four months in advance, I would have.

So thank you for the response but it falls flat in every regard.

The location of the hotel to the centre is excellent.
Parking is a short walk away and reasonably priced for city centre parking.
I think we paid ยฃ18 for 24 hours.
The room itself was Nice, clean and tidy. The one thing to let it down was the very dated bathroom.
Breakfast was excellent with a great variety however please note that the restaurant only serves breakfast there is room service available. But Iโ€™m told this is limited to pizzas. Iโ€™m sure this wonโ€™t be a problem as you are surrounded by an excellent choice of restaurants just outside the hotel.

Firstly, the staff were friendly and helped us change rooms when the first one smelled really badly of cigarette smoke. Unfortunately though, the rooms look a lot nicer on the pictures. Quite basic though, especially the bathroom. The blind in the bathroom was dirty and mouldy. Worse thing was the noise coming from the floorboards above us. Led to quite a bad night's sleep. Great location, but not as good as it looks. Left feeling disappointed, and tired.

The Staff were all really friendly and helpful. The location of the hotel is really good, close to everything and great places to eat. The room we had 309, was really in need of an update. Just a heap of maintenance required- loose toilet seat, the reading lights were broken, the shower has such poor drainage the bathroom nearly flooded, the cupboard is taking up a lot of room as it looks like there is a problem in the floor behind it, preventing it from being moved back to the wall. The bed was not comfortable and pillows very old. The Staff did supply us with a newer pillow though! The room flooring was so uneven and very noisy floorboards over worn out carpet. Overall, in desperate need of refurbishment!!!

Great location for the Motorpoint arena and the staff were excellent.
Unfortunately the same canโ€™t be said for the rooms. The air con filter hasnโ€™t been cleaned for some time as it stank while it was running. Not plugs near the bed, and the bathroom had seen better days.
