I recently stayed at the Mercure Perth Hotel and had a fantastic experience, made especially memorable thanks to the outstanding service from Megan, one of the restaurant waitresses. From the very first interaction, she stood out for all the right reasons – incredibly warm, attentive, and genuinely committed to providing excellent service.

Megan has a natural ability to make guests feel welcome and at ease. She was always smiling, took time to chat without ever being intrusive, and remembered small personal details that made a big difference. Whether it was breakfast or dinner, Megan ensured everything was just right – from checking on dietary preferences to making sure we were comfortable and well looked after.

It’s rare to come across someone who is not only professional and efficient but also clearly enjoys their role and takes real pride in it. Megan’s attention to detail, positive attitude, and friendly manner truly elevated our stay. She went above and beyond on several occasions and nothing ever seemed like too much trouble.

Staff like Megan are what turn a good hotel experience into a great one. She’s an absolute asset to the Mercure team, and we’ll definitely be returning – largely because of the genuine and memorable service she provided.

My husband and I stayed for one night on our way further up into the highlands.|We left home early as we were taking the bus to visit Lindores distillery.||So we arrived at 11 , car park was full but a lovely lady on reception Kerry, came out and walked over to the other car park and found us a space . |We were then allowed to check in to our room. Totally unheard of in any hotel we have stayed in. |We were delighted.||Our room was huge , spotlessly clean .|I agree with some comments about updating , but in no way did it detract from the lovely hotel . |We slept so well , very quiet.||Breakfast was perfect, lots of choices. Food stocked up constantly so nothing runs out and tables cleaned quickly.||All the staff are so friendly, helpful and very cheerful.|100% recommend and we will not hesitate to stay again .

The rooms are nice, but the bathrooms could use an update (maybe that is the next planned renovation?). Sara at the check in desk was very helpful and accommodating. Evan and Diana G in the lounge were very nice and brought my wife's cappuccino when the machine was ready. The food was bar food, well done. Fish and chips were good as was the chicken mahkani but a little sweet. The cheese plate for dessert was artistically put together but no surprises on the cheeses. Not a bad price

Such a lovely place to stay! Everything was tidy, comfortable, and the vibe was really relaxed. The service stood out — Sofiia was especially friendly and made everything feel easy and smooth. Would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the area!

Great staff. They were really friendly and knowledgable.|The hotel is quite quirky with a waterwheel in the middle of the entrance hall.|Location is fairly central. Not right in it which means you don't get disturbed but only a five minute walk from the centre of town.|Rooms felt quite tired and the shower was quite a weak over bath type of shower.|Breakfast was epic, especially the Haggis.|Hotel has free parking out the front and an overflow car park. We got a space but it's on a first come first served basis.

One word that sums up the hotel: tired. Rooms and communal areas are in desperate need of refreshment. Lumpy pillows. Loose fittings - the towel hook was literally one screw loose. Not enough electrical sockets in the rooms. And the chair (see pic) that should’ve been consigned to the junk yard ages ago.
We stayed for two nights but the room was not cleaned.
Staff were friendly and helpful enough. I rang reception for a fan as it was very warm and they brought one up immediately.
Convenient location but other than that, not much else going for it.

Had a great stay at the hotel in room 123 – clean, comfortable, and the staff were really helpful. Everything was well-organized, and it made the trip so much easier. Definitely recommend it! Special thanks to Sofiia and for making the experience even better.

Great city centre location. Rooms are a bit tired but clean and functional. Good food and great service from Diana G in the bar. Car parking can be a bit of a lottery but there is a public carpark nearby.
