The hotel is set in lovely grounds. The rooms are very spacious and comfortable with beautiful views. I was a guest at a family wedding there and the food at the reception was excellent, in fact some of the best food I have had at a wedding breakfast. Breakfast buffet was great. Nothing is too much trouble for the staff who are helpful, friendly and professional. A great team and in particular I would like to thank Kian who helped me with bags as did Ethan. Jonny behind the bar was a great member of staff, working hard to keep everyone well supplied! These three were exceptional but then all of the staff deserve praise as they make up a smashing team. I commend them all. The wedding was wonderful and I think the hotel and the setting went some way to making this a very special day. A big thank you to all of the staff involved.

My husband and I had the pleasure of hosting our wedding day at Mere Court, and what a day it was! From start to finish, we were wowed by the entire team, their professionalism and care was second to none.
Planning a wedding can be a stressful time for anyone, but from the moment we first viewed Mere Court 2 years ago we were put at ease and knew this was the perfect place for us. The whole process was calm and controlled, I couldn’t have done it without them, particularly wedding coordinator Lyndsey.
Nothing was too much, and the level of service was outstanding. The set up was beautiful and it was dreamy to see our vision brought to life!
We have had so many family and friends comment on how amazing and professional the service was.
And WOW, the food was unbelievable! From the canopies, to the wedding breakfast, and even the evening buffet - absolutely delicious!
We had the most magical, beautiful day and I cannot thank the entire team enough. They worked tirelessly to make our wedding day dreams come true - thank you thank you thank you! ?

Just came home from a lovely stay at the hotel. We had a Groupon offer, pleasantly surprised that we were given the beautiful 2 bed cottage, very clean and spacious. 2 course meal and breakfast was included in the deal and the meals were ample and tasty. Beautiful grounds and free parking. Big shout out to the kind and pleasant Laura at reception, very friendly and helped with any needs we had! Colin the waiter and bar man, jolly and chatty making your stay even better, both are an absolute credit to the hotel! Thank you both:)

Absolutely beautiful. The pool was great, and the sauna / steam rooms were great. Didn't use the outdoor hot tubs but they looks perfect aswel, we did use the indoor jacuzzi which was just what we needed ?. The gym was also decent.

Afternoon tea was lovely.
Staff seemed friendly especially Danny on the desk. Will definitely be returning ?

We had the most lovely stay and would fully recommend this Hotel. It was our 2nd stay and the first was good but this was even better. What really made our experience stand out and 5 star ? was the Receptionist Holly. She was friendly, helpful and couldn't do more for us. We had booked an executive 4 poster bedroom. On check in we were allocated the same room as the last time we had visited. I asked if we could have a different room for a change. The room we had last time was lovely but it's nice to experience different styles. I explained no problem if this wasn't possible. Holly then changed us to the Presidential Suite. I regularly take weekends away so experience different 4 and 5* hotels with lovely rooms. This room was pretty perfect. It had a lovely Jacuzzi bath, beautiful outlook, clean, comfortable and spacious amd I loved the window seating. We liked it so much I tried to book an extra night but unfortunately it was fully booked. Dinner and Breakfast were amazing. They had staff off sick and were short staffed. Holly therefore was also helping in the restaurant. All staff both night and day during meals were absolutely lovely, friendly, approachable and professional. Thank you to everyone but especially the lovely Holly who made a great stay even better eith her fantastic customer service. We can't wait to come again.

We visited to have afternoon tea. The cheese and tomato finger sandwich was VILE! |It tasted like tomato sauce with a bit of grated cheese mixed in. One bite left a horrible taste in the mouth. It took two coffees to get rid of it. |I have noticed that someone else left an afternoon tea review that mentioned the same flavoured sandwich. Maybe the hotel should take note and get rid of it.||The scones with cream and jam were nice. Perhaps offer a choice of currant or non-currant? |The coffee and tea were fine. We were not offered a top-up, but that's ok. I'm sure we could have requested more.||The staff were very helpful and friendly, and plenty of parking spaces.||We would consider going again but would request a sandwich swap. Can you guess which one? 😉

Had a spa day with friends. The car parking was really difficult as they are having building work on the hotel, which greatly reduced capacity.
The lady who gave me my massage and facial was excellent.
The pool and spa was nice , but there was a lot of people, so couldn't sit with my friends on spa beds.
The afternoon tea was OK, I thought the cakes were just sweet, but not flavoursome. They gave us a tiny pot of cream between 3 of us, which was insufficient. But when we asked for more, we were refused. Come on! all that money and rationed cream.

Absolutely loved the afternoon tea here. We had an amazing view out into the gardens from our window table, the sandwiches were really good and there was a nice selection. The cakes were to die for especially the homemade scones. Loved all the details that just made the afternoon tea a little more special. The staff couldn't do enough for us. We will definitely be coming back for afternoon tea and after looking around the grounds we love the idea of a wedding venue too
