I went once to get a hair cut and it was lovely, so I decided to come back and get my hair dyed. I wanted highlights and expressed the last time I had it done at a different salon, they didn’t use any bleach, just toned it. The hairstylist claimed that they must’ve used some bleach and continued to bleach it. Not only that, it was much more than I wanted, it felt like my whole head was bleached. This is my second time getting my hair done, I am not too familiar with all the terminology. However, in my consultation I showed pictures. I am South Asian, so my hair is different to a Caucasian. I felt that this wasn’t taken into consideration - I had gone home upset. They did offer me to come back and get it dyed back to black for no extra charge which I of course took. However now I’m left with damaged hair and low self esteem. Really disappointed.
Edit - I also want to add during the conversation regarding bleach, I was told that it wouldn’t do too much damage and was left under the impression that it would be ok. The services and attitudes of all the staff is good, all really sweet. However, I just am disappointed by the lack of understanding of ethnic hair and feel a bit lied to. Below is what my Pinterest board consists of and what had been executed. I had shown this board in my consultation which I felt reassured that the hairstylist understood what I wanted. I should’ve shown again in the appointment however I wasn’t even asked. Just an overall damaging experience.

Rhonda did an amazing job on my hair as always. She has real artistic flair and looks after your hair condition as well as making you look and feel amazing! I have naturally curly hair and it's a joy to see it so shiny and sleek whilst maintaining its condition.

I visited the new salon today for the first time, and it's fabulous.
I had the pleasure of Tory to do my French manicure.
She is lovely, and so talented, my nails look the best I've ever seen them look!
The staff are super friendly, the salon is kept very clean, I wasn't kept waiting at all, and was offered a lovely coffee.

Had wash cut and blow today with the lovely Elle under the close supervision of the fabulous Lucy. I was immensely impressed with the encouragement and clear teaching methods Lucy had with all the trainees and the fabulous atmosphere amongst the staff. Elle was wonderful and clearly learns very quickly under such guidance. I had every confidence and ended up with fabulous hair. Rhonda Ramsey was brilliant. She discussed in detail what I wanted as I was looking for a complete transformation and she went through all my options, allowing me to choose the best colours.
