Another superb stay at MBF! We’ve been back several times now & this place never fails to leave us impressed. Small upgrades every time which we would not have thought of, but Paul & Rosy obviously have. The accommodation is fantastic & has a country cottage feel with everything you could possibly need & more. Country walks are on the doorstep & although you feel apart from the hustle & bustle there is easy access to main roads to get anywhere. We’ll be back!

Return visit as we love the place! The accommodation has a country cottage feel with everything you need for your stay. Fantastic country walks on the doorstep & it’s on the IOW cycle route, there is a pub/restaurant within walking distance & plenty of others within a 10 min drive. Plenty of parking in the farmyard & lots of wildlife to enjoy just outside your door including Red Squirrels on the feeders!

Well appointed cottage for our visit to the Isle of Wight, in the countryside but near to Sandown (10 mins). Very clean, tasteful shabby chic decor with up to date kitchen and bathrooms, great showers. The lovely owners live within the grounds and readily ensure you are happy during your stay. We enjoyed our visits around the island and returning to our cottage for a relaxing evening.

Fantastic accommodation in a lovely rural setting. Rooms have everything you could possibly need but if not, just ask, Paul & Rosy will do anything they can to make your stay comfortable.|The thought, & obviously effort, that has gone into the conversion of farm buildings to superb accommodation is superb with some great touches that you may miss at first.|We loved our stay at ‘MBF’ & hope to return again soon, loved it!

We stayed for two weeks this August, unlike many holiday rentals the finish here is superb. Rosie and Paul have really made an effort, simple things like duvet, beds and pillow are lovely and made for a great nights sleep.|Kids loved the extensive garden areas and passages through the woods.|I know people are different, but we did not like the Fighting Cocks it is not a country pub, more of a Harvester. The pub in Newchurch 5 mins away is much better.|In terms of activities, we loved Haven Falconry £54 for a private one hour session with 4 different birds.

I have just spent the last 3 days in the most wonderful little cottage at Middle Barn Farm. Robin 1 (cottage name) is of the highest quality & so comfy We didn’t want to come home. Rosy & Paul were the perfect hosts & you can tell they have furnished both cottages with a great deal of thought & love. If you’re thinking of staying on the Isle of Wight self catering... look no further I promise, you will not be disappointed. ||Already planning to take my mother over & staying in Robin 2 aptly named as it has 2 bedrooms...||I have selected type of visit as couples as it will only allow one selection but this is solo / family or Friends suitable.||Thanks guys |Mark & Penny xx

We stayed in Mallards for a week during the summer holiday, with our two children aged 10 and 8. The cottage was even nicer than the photos suggest. We have never stayed anywhere previously that was so well decorated and finished, and so tidy. It felt like we must have been the first people to ever stay there, even though I know we weren't. Only downside is that the patio area doesn't get the sun in the evening, but there are lots of grassy areas that you are free to use (including a secluded grassy area for having disposable BBQ which the kids thought was like their own 'secret garden'). Great location. Easy walk to local pub, Fighting Cocks, which has good play area for kids. Close to lovely beaches, as well as Godshill, which is worth a walk round. Would recommend Shanklin beach (head away from the mini-golf and shops, towards the beach huts, for slightly quieter beach) and beach at Yaverland (great for kids as shallow and not as busy as Sandown). Also would recommend fossil hunting at Compton bay and a visit to the Needles Old Battery (free entry if you are National Trust members). We didn't visit Robin Hill this time as quite expensive and only really wanted to go for the toboggan ride anyway, which would have been an additional charge. Overall, fab holiday and lovely accommodation run by a lovely couple.

I can't speak highly enough of Middle Barn Farm and it's owners Rosy and Paul - me, my husband and our 2 kids (5&7) were made to feel so welcome, given wonderful advice whilst being afforded plenty of privacy and space throughout our stay at Mallards barn. The property and fittings were exceptional and the grounds and location fantastic. I don't usually wholeheartedly recommend things, but I most certainly do in this case. Perfect from start to finish. We're looking forward to returning!
