This is a lovely B&B, the proprietor is a true English Gentleman, can also cook a mean full English. We stayed in room 12, up on the the top floor. It was entirely charming. The bathroom was clean though has a unusual lay out. The bed was comfortable with clean sheets and the room was cosy and warm. Tuly a lovely little B&B.

Excellent place to stay, we have several times, the owner always nice, short walk into york along river or main road, parking and breakfast great.|Not 100% sure about the date we stayed.|Would stay again rooms are tidy and|Comfortable.|Stayed twice would go again

I stayed here for 2 nights whilst visiting friends in York. My room was room 8 on ground floor. Room very clean and had everything you need, kettle, cups, glasses, Coffee, tea and milk, sugar. I took my own mug with me as prefer a bigger cup. The bed and pillows were very comfortable .Room had small TV (Which did come on randomly at 6am one morning, not sure if I knocked the control or whether it was set up to come on by a previous guest) The ensuite had everything you need with a few small shower gels, soaps and shampoo. Powerful shower. |Car parking outside was good. I sat in the lounge both nights and it was also comfortable and had a bigger TV. I didn't have breakfast as had plans both days. Would definitely stay again in my next trip to York. Thank you!

Lovely little b&b, not too far from the centre of York and is near the bus stops which take you straight in. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Bathroom was a good size and very clean. Owner was very helpful and gave us lots of information about york. Nice and quiet and the staff were very friendly. Breakfast consisted of cereals, fruit, Granola and yogurt along with a cooked breakfast. The staff were very helpful and friendly. Would definitely stay again and recommend to others.

On a good bus route. Clean spacious room. Plenty of tea and coffee in the rooms. Key code entry.

Stayed with my daughter for University open day. Midway house is your traditional guest house. Excellent value for money , spacious room, super comfy beds ,nice and clean. Friendly owner who offered local recommendations. I wouldn't hesitate to stay again

Arrived wee bit early for a Friday to Sunday stay, but no problem as owner let us check in, plus took the time to show us bus routes etc into town on a brochure map.|Room very clean and spacious with ensuite shower and wc..[room 5].|Given own key for room and code entry to front door.|breakfast was really filling and very pleasantly served by mine host.|Bus stop across road to town and 100 yrds up road on way back.|Over all was a very pleasant stay and would/will stay again.

Convenient location, nice walk into city centre along the river, hosts are fantastic that they allow you to park up early.|But, although bed was clean n comfy the room had stains of damp and mould. Breakfast included but never mentioned at check in n check in was so rushed didn’t feel enabled to question
