We booked a last minute trip and after reading the reviews(post booking) were rather worried. However Villa 109 was clean, well equipped and easy to access with 12 steps. Millendreath beach is lovely with two lovely bars.

This is the worst place I have ever stayed. The resort is generally very run down. VILLA 14. DO NOT BOOK IT.Here’s the list of problems we had on arrival.|Door mat - dirty - not hoovered |Sofas - very stained, old and worn. |Saucepans - dirty and all the surface eroded - maintenance replaced with more used ones|Frying pan - was actually rusty in the middle. - replaced with a nearly new one |Microwave - not safe to use - rusty inside. Maintenance had to get another one and disposed of the old one. |Fridge - not cleaned properly. |Mattress protectors and mattress - stained. I didn’t want to even look at the pillows because I bought my own! |Oven very slow and was filthy inside, shelves or pans not cleaned in months. Maintenance bought some silver foil to put on the shelves so we could cook a pizza. |Hot water scolding hot - potential for burns! |Smart tv but no Netflix working,maintenance tried to fix and so did we but it doesn’t work. |TV remote filthy and sticky. I cleaned it with alcohol gel ! |Washing up bowl was disgusting and the maintenance guy disposed of it & bought another used one that was better but still very old and worn. |Broken dining chair - removed |Broken decking outside the entrance door. |Poo stains in the loo & the seat pinches because it’s the wrong seat for the loo. I purchased toilet cleaner and cleaned it. |Part of the shower trap is missing so a constant smell of drains coming from the shower cubicle. |Maintenance had to come three times to correct some of the issues. I would never ever stay in this place again. The ‘cleaners’ do not clean, they just pretend to ! |The place is a health hazard ! |Don’t forget the 70 odd steps up and down, some are very steep.

We arrived last Saturday (10/08/24) and after seeing some reviews I was worried in all honesty. The stairs to the apartment are steep and not for the faint hearted and I did struggle a lot with them, they are also quite overgrown though they did seem to be in the process of trimming all the apartment steps. The apartment itself is a nice little apartment though in honesty could do with a better clean in the bathroom. The kitchen was spotless as was the bedding in both rooms. The rooms are tiny and the beds are not the most comfortable. The outdoor seating was nice although the wooden recliners could do with replacing. Parking is at £20 for the week which isn’t too bad to be far just an uphill trek back from the car to the apartment. ||The location isn’t the best as everywhere is best driven to, you can walk into Looe but we didn’t fancy the 40 min walk there then 40 min back and it is a hilly walk. Only 5 mins drive into town and parking is only £2 in an evening. ||The beach is very stony and not to our liking and you are quite a way from the likes of Newquay. Though it was pleasant to walk the dog down there in a morning and have a cup of coffee watching the waves. ||The best chippy is definitely kelly’s in the town and I would highly recommend it and there are 2 small co ops also, the bigger supermarkets are in Liskeard. ||Honestly would we stay here again, no we wouldn’t but purely for the amount of steep steps into the apartment I feel we paid a great price for what we had in August.

Didn't stay at the resort. Just used the beach and bar/cafe. Great little place. Loved it. Xx

Just went to the Beach Bar......and it was great. Lovely food, I had the Breakfast, good coffee. Great views. Anoushka and colleagues provided great Service!

How could I love you more?A total *happy place. There is magic in the air here. Visit Millendreath for a swim and chill at this blissful cafe.

We ate at the Beach Shack. Very welcoming, friendly staff, great atmosphere, amazing views. Food was very good with a good evening selection. We missed the fish finger sandwich as it was nearly 6pm. Next time for that only served up until 5pm. However, we were impressed as they did check with the chef first.

Good drink selection, really nothing to complain about.

We planned a 3 night stay here and was really looking forward to it. However what we thought we booked and what we got was a completely different story. When we entered our ‘Apartment’ (which was in fact a chalet, no issue with chalets who doesn’t love a caravan holiday, but that was not what we had booked) it smelt and was very run down and we just felt dirty upon entering it. As it had been a long day travelling we thought maybe it will fell better in the morning. I had a shower hoping to feel less dirty, big mistake, the towels provided were hanging on a rusty radiator and the plug in the shower was also rusted. We tried to put on nexflix and watch a movie to relax and not think about how dirty and how much the place smelt on the patchwork sofa (photo included) that didn’t go to plan as the tv (I say tv, more of computer screen monitor than tv) was not working. I checked my emails remembering on one it mentioned if there are any issues to please contact them, well that’s not possible seen as no contact information was provided to go along with that. So we tried to sleep but by this point it was giving me the hills have eyes vibe. We woke up early Tuesday morning after a long night of my daughter wheezing and coughing, only to find her asthma has been triggered and the cause of the smell was found. Mould right by the bed she was sleeping in, we called Hoseasons to request a refund (trying to get in touch with them is a whole other issue) they said they will contact the owner with our request, we get dressed and left (no need to pack back up as we did not even bother unpacking as the cupboard/wardrobe were dirty and dusty. Hoseasons finally get back in touch after it took them 2 days to get in touch with the owner who then refused our refund request and didn’t even acknowledge there is damp and mould in the property. So now we are down financially as we had to book alternative accommodation 2 hours away (which was lovely, god bless Air BnB) So if I could give this place minus stars I would, I can not believe the owner has the cheek to charge as much as they do for a property filled with damp and mould and use pictures of an other property to then book people into apartment 109. Very unhappy and would strongly urge people not to book here
