The location is good and there are plenty of car parks. Old and tired hotel. It's alright just for a short stay. No hair dryer available.

im writing it as a 1 star because of the reception woman was shouting abuse at other people in the hotel and myself . she called me a tramp and she was using very abusive words

We stayed here for a family party near Carlisle.
After reading the reviews we were quite happy to find the hotel was very clean albeit a bit dated but for our 2 night stay it was a great location. Plus free parking and we could walk easily into town.

Price was doubled due to an ultra - marathon happening in the area which, not being from the area, we knew nothing about. Very basic hotel, not in good decorative condition and the receptionist wasn't exactly warm and welcoming. I wouldn't return to this hotel or recommend it.

I quite like this hotel for it's quiet and secluded location yet very close to shops and amenities. The staff are very polite and helpful. Also has a bar and restaurant on the property. Not a luxury hotel by any means but adequate and comfortable if you just want somewhere to put your head down for the night. This is my third visit to this hotel and I have no complaints.
