Traveled here with our family of four, kids were 7 and 9. To say we loved it would be an understatement. We stayed in 8 & 8 3/4 and it was quite special. The kids loved the rooms and the bathtub, and we were all quite comfortable. The common area was cozy and snacks/tea were always available. Breakfasts came carefully packed in a basket. The location is right outside the Museum Gardens and we could see York Minster from our room. Easy to get into city center while still being quiet. HIGHLY recommend!

This is our first choice guest house when staying in York, and our second time staying here. We love the stylish rooms, quality beds and relaxed breakfasts. The staff are so welcoming too. Will be back for sure.

Faultless experience - the rooms are spotless (as are the communal areas) and the bed was super comfy. Location was perfect to get into town. Mostly, the thoughtful extra touches (for us the communal area, the access to oat milk and the Oreos!) made it a very lovely stay. Would recommend highly!

We really enjoyed our two night stay here. There were lots of lovely treats available (free lollies and chocolates) and an honesty tuck shop for other treats at reasonable prices.|Breakfast was delicious ( you just indicated the night before of your preferences) and it could be delivered to your room or you could eat in the comfortable dining area.|We pre-paid a parking voucher, on street located behind about a three minute walk away. There is also a public car park available a stones throw away.|The rooms are located up some steep stairs, so not good for those with mobility issues.||The York city wall entry is only about 5 minutes away.

The breakfast hamper was excellent. The location of the property was excellent, so central to York Minster and the city, easily accessible from the railway station. Very welcoming on arrival and all the team at the guest house were brilliant. Refreshments available at all times was a lovely touch.

Stayed at this charming guesthouse for two nights. Had a ground floor room which I would recommend given it is an old building with steep steps. The lounge is cosy and there is unlimited access to make hot drinks, fresh milk and cake bars. There is also an honesty tuck shop. In your rooms are nice drinks making facilities with proper mugs!! The beds are super comfy and everything is spotless especially the modern bathroom. You can order breakfast in bed which was so nice and it meant you didn’t need to rush in the morning. The only small point which could be improved is there is no full length mirror in the room, there is no shelf in the bathroom for toiletries and there is a big chair which takes up precious space in the small room and the towels have seen better days. However I would definitely stay here again as those are only minor details. The staff are also lovely and easily contactable before and during your stay.

Such a lovely bed and breakfast in central York. We stayed as a group of friends. Lots of little extra touches, mince pies and sherry in our rooms, sweets in the dining/lounge and a tuck shop if you get the nibbles. and lovely decor. Large comfortable beds etc. breakfast was lovely and personalised. A coffee machine would be my only request to make breakfast even better. Friendly and helpful staff.

What a fabulous place to stay in York. Very well located. Clean, comfortable with loads of thoughtful touches. Great nights sleep. Friendly staff. Great communication before and during our stay. We stayed in room 8 which was like staying in Harry Potters bedroom. The Minster Inn next door is well worth a visit. We will definitely stay here again.
