Lovely peaceful place - I liked the room (room 10) and the bird song that i could hear from the window - the bed was very comfy - great shower, everything looked clean. |Just one annoying thing was when someone in the room next-door had a shower it is very loud throughout and the person next-door also left on a bathroom fan or light from 6.30am this morning Bank Holiday Monday and left so the noise from that was annoying so I went for an early walk and checked out earlier than the 10 am checkout time - apart from that it was mainly peaceful - I would definitely stay again but maybe a quieter room - I also loved the garden and grounds.

We stayed for 1night, the monastery is quite easy to find as it is a large site. However it is quite easy to miss the entrance to the accommodation as it's quite small and a bit tucked away. However once found we parked up, plenty of spaces. and was met by one of the brothers and shown to our room. the room was small, basic but perfectly functional. Plenty of tea and coffee provided plus top ups if needed. The bathroom was huge. The room we stayed in was lovely and quiet although close to the road we did not hear much road noise. The following morning breakfast is serve yourself continental style with plenty of choice. We would stay again.

My wife and I stayed for two nights in an en suite B&B double room. The room was a very decent size and very comfortable, the WiFi was excellent. The bathroom was large with a large shower and instant hot water. We opted for taking our meals with the Brethren, which allowed us to appreciate fully the atmosphere and spirit of Mirfield. The staff were efficient, courteous and helpful. The grounds were beautiful and restful. The overall experience was excellent, including excellent value for money; we plan to return.

We stayed for two nights and loved the place - the quiet, the gardenns, the people. Room 4 is spacious, warm, spotlessly clean with en suite loo and shower. We would have welcomed a ground floor room but there isn't a double one. We managed. There are twenty acres to explore, mostly level. Breakfast is DIY, cereals, eggs, good coffee, tea, fresh fruit. If you're staying B&B there are several cafes which will deliver, or there's the Airedale Heifer about quarter of a mile down the road (turn right out of the gate). We arrived by rail, the local station appears to be unmanned, access by very long steep stairs - 'bus or taxi from Huddersfield is easier.

Location Location Location. The Monastery, grounds and church are simply stunning and if you get a chance to attend a service to hear the monks chanting it is divine. Very friendly and welcoming. The rooms are simple but have everything you need and breakfast is self-service.

A working monastery set in 20 acres of lovely grounds. Room was small, basic but clean. Good shower. Not much choice for breakfast. Toast, cereals or boiled eggs. Items used on the table i.e. sugar, coffee and tea not replenished daily. Coffee pot on the go was only luke warm and if it was emptied by earlier guests there didn't seem any way of making a fresh pot. Rooms are not particularly soundproofed so if you had noisy neighbours it was a pain. We were woken at midnight by people walking around, doors slamming and loud voices. Room was cleaned only once you leave. Main beef was the lack of contact and information. would we stay here again Probably not.

This is a lovely place to stay if you want peace and quiet. It's close to pubs and restaurants in Mirfield, but just far enough away to remain in the quiet zone.|Lovely gardens, which you can wander around and plenty of space to lose yourself in.|The rooms are quite basic, but have everything you need. The showers are gery good.|Breakfast is a self service option, but there are cereals, toast, yoghurt and fresh eggs to choose from, along with tea, coffee and fruit juice. If you take your own food, you are welcome to use the kitchen in the B&B to cook. It 's the kitchen the monks use for jam making!|Well worth a visit, if only for the overwhelming sense of peace.

Set in a working Monastery they ask that you keep the noise down. They do allow you to roam the 20 acre grounds freely. Very good value stay. Breakfast is cereals, toast and or boiled egg.
