The cabin is rural and access is via windy, single track roads. We had a confident driver so no problem there. There are only two cabins and both are very private, allowing you to fully relax and enjoy the beautiful views. The view from the cabin and its full glass lounge is absolutely stunning.|The hot tub was so lovely and fully available throughout our stay. we had our grandson with us (teen) and he loved marshmallows with a fire in the evening .|As the kitchen is so well equipped, we stopped at the large Tesco in Welshpool on our way to get supplies and really enjoyed ourselves. my grandson even cooked us a meal. There are lots of castles to visit and Montgomery was lovely and quaint. restaurants, pubs, post office ( does lovely bacon sandwiches) and a spar shop. So the Tesco and spar were easily accessible if needed.|We ventured up to the fishing lake for a wild swim and it would be great for fishing, but looked a bit overgrown with algae and where there was seating, there was no shade ( it was a hot day) So we decided to go back to the cabin for a dip. Easily remedied im sure.|We really enjoyed our stay and will be returning when we can. we have a friend who is not in good health and she would love it! so we will hopefully see you again very soon

What a find! We fell in love with the lodge and location and will definitely return.||Pre-arrival info and communications we're excellent, with our host going above and beyond to detail local walks, amenities, tips and places to explore on the farm.||On arrival, self "check in" was seamless and we were all blown away by the floor to ceiling views and lovely cosy wood smell as we walked into the lodge. Everywhere was spotless, comfortable and well thought out. Plenty of towels, a full set of kitchen utensils, dishwasher, washing machine if required, etc.||In terms of things to do, we didn't use the car once during our stay! The hot tub was lovely and we also ordered a fire kit for the fire pit outside (with smores ingredients) which was a huge hit and enjoyed while watching a beautiful sunset. We spent a day at the lake enjoying the paddle board and kayak with the kids (life vests provided!), and appreciated the little lake house complete with gas camping hob and hot drink facilities after a refreshing dip with the dragonflies. The recommended walk to the stone circle across the hilltops (pretty flat at the top) was wonderful too and we certainly got lucky with the weather and could see for miles all around.||We would recommend a stay here to anyone wanting to "get away from it all" with all the comforts of home and little luxuries. The view in itself is worth a visit! My only disappointment was that we didn't book to stay longer...

If you’re looking to completely switch off, unwind and relax for a few days, I would highly recommend visiting these lodges. Immaculate throughout and the country views are simply stunning. 10/10 stay, Thank you both very much, we had a wonderful time.

My best friend and I spent three nights at Moonside Lodges in March 2024. ||Undoubtedly, this is a corner of paradise everyone needs to stay in. The lodge was clean, spacious, warm and cosy. Everything you need is there. Just bring your food for the first night. ||The communication from the team was 5 stars! You were looked after from the minute you booked, with friendly advice, easy access to the lodge, and a really useful portal that gave me peace of mind. ||The lodge really feels like it is in the middle of nowhere. All you can see is green fields, and silence. This is a true retreat if you need a few days of calm. ||The hot tub was clean, well-maintained, and piping hot—just what you need after a day of walking. ||The owners checked in but were not intrusive. But were always supportive of your stay. ||My friend and I decided we wanted to spend every year here, and wherever we were in the world, we would come together to spend time in this gem of a place. we'll be back as long as it stays. ||They deserve all the support in the world!

This is THE most amazing place we've stayed. The lodge is massive, has everything you could possibly want and need, the hot tub is just perfection, the views are stunning, the beds are so comfy, it's so clean! Your in the middle of nowhere so its so so quiet. The icing on the cake of a mum of 3 was the dishwasher and the washing machine with the pods to use them with too. Thank you! Our older boys loved running wide and the lake was their fave place, and our little girl loved the veranda watching the dogs when it was hot tub chemical time. We definitely recommend staying here and we have to all our family and friends too. Our family needed the break and it has definitely given us all the r&r we all needed. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts. ❤️

A fabulous second visit to this beautiful cabin. Spectacular views. The cabin is well equipped, very comfortable and a gem of a place to stay. Hot tub is in good condition and whole place well maintained…. Highly recommended. Lots of local walking and other places to visit

Lovely stay in a beautiful lodge. Stunning location and great hot tub for relaxation! Car essential but good local pub 30 walk minutes away with amazing pizzas. Lodge was clean, warm and very comfortable. Owners helpful but not intrusive.
