Moorgair cottage is without doubt the cleanest, cosiest and best equipped self-catering place we've ever stayed. Seemingly no detail has been overlooked in making your stay there as comfortable as possible. We even enjoyed the single day when the weather was just too dismal to venture out. There's a good variety of books, games and dvds to explore and enjoy.
Gordon is the perfect host, friendly and easily on hand should his help be needed - he lives next door, yet he is in no way intrusive. Watching the comings and goings of his dog, Dory; cat, Bentley; the sheep and alpacas made for a relaxing time at breakfast. Dory may even take you on at tug-o'-war if you like (I think I won, but wasn't sure I understood his rules - he may have just given me up as a bad job!).
The cottage is located away from main roads on a quiet country lane and yet is centrally situated for may of the local places of interest. All in all we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Moorgair cottage, largely due to Gordon's fine attention to detail - thank you.

Quite possibly the nicest self-catering accommodation we’ve stayed at in a very long time. Beautifully-appointed, stunning surroundings and a most friendly and entertaining host. We cannot recommend Moorgair highly enough. Oh, and forgot to mention - the small farm on which Moorgair is situated also plays host to Alpacas..

We had a lovely stay at Moorgair Cottage , the cottage is clean well equipped and very cosy , its in a beautiful area and a good base too explore , the town of Hexham Corbridge , and Hadrian Wall ,Gordon the owners is very welcoming , im sure you will not be disappointed if you come and stay in the lovely quite Cottage and area
