Lovely couple, nice breakfast (brought up to room - lovely little touch!), nice & clean, great value, free parking! Walking distance to centre - river walk is lovely & makes it enjoyable. Would absolutely stay again! Spacious room, comfortable bed. Has everything you need.

Such a lovely bed and breakfast, great location as its near the city central and to the Barbican. I didn't have breakfast but the options looked yummy, and decided to go into the city instead. The bedroom was cosy and was suited to my needs and the bed was very comfortable! The only downside (wasn't a problem for me) is that room 2 overlooks the road in which can be sometimes noisy. But that didn't really bother me. The hosts were just exceptional, so lovely and very accommodating. I would totally stay here again as I felt safe, and was great value for money. I definitely be back again 😊✨️

I booked this guest house in relation to the proximity of a venue I needed to be at for some training. Thought it was perfectly adequate and travelling alone, felt very safe. Breakfast was really nice and delivered to your room anytime from 8am. Loved watching the squirrel scampering around on the fence in the back garden every morning. Water pressure wasn't great but again adequate. My bed was super comfy and slept very well both nights. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again, when needed.

Lovely b&b, perfectly situated about 10-15 min walk into York centre, along the river. Greg and Heidi were fantastic hosts and greeted me like we were old friends! The room was clean, with everything I needed. Great breakfast, anything you wanted was catered for. They were also very helpful with where to go and what to see, giving me a little map, which I used a lot!!

I've already told them I shall be visiting them again ...:-)

Wonderful Guest House, very clean, central to all attractions and the City itself. Greg (one of the owners) was the main person I had been dealing with and felt welcomed during my stay. I was looking for a quiet space for a few days, with privacy, which is what the Moorgarth provides, also found the owners attentive when I needed to ask some questions regarding directions etc …. Another bonus was free parking and the room was a very reasonable rate!! Great for solo travellers, safe environment.

Over the past three years, I chose to stay at Moorgarth regularly while I was attending study weekends at the Northern College of Acupuncture. I needed somewhere within walking distance from the college and train station, and that was clean, comfortable, and welcoming. I found all this at Moorgarth. I opted for the cooked English breakfast every morning and wasn't disappointed. I received a warm welcome every time, and liked the fact that the owners lived on-site, in case I had any questions. Greg and Heidi are very friendly, and the Moorgarth is now my go-to B&B whenever I need to visit York.

Great location. Good workspaces in each room I've stayed in. Good breakfast if you need it. Otherwise, easy walk into town or to station. The rooms are very clean and well maintained. I have stayed now in the Moorgarth Guest house two times, when visiting York for work.

We didn't spend much time here. Walking distance into York.||The bed was comfortable. Our room was rear facing and you couldn't hear any noise from the busy road the B&B sits on. Breakfast is served in your room instead of in a breakfast room and is very good.||The rates are very reasonable and fair for the B&B.
