Had a lovely time at Mother & Wild. The place was packed full but the staff were able to seat us in the garden. The heaters made the January weather tolerable. We tried the truffle arancini and focaccia starters. The arancini were nice but the focaccia came toasted which was a surprise. We didn't enjoy that very much. The pizzas were nice. I tried the pancetta pizza with mushrooms and my husband had the pepperoni. We liked them alright but the balance of ingredients was not quite perfect.

Best pizzas ever. Really lovely service. Super fast and a bit of a squeeze but we made the hour trip here just because we love the food so much. Would recommend to anyone!

I was blown away by how delicious the Margarita pizza was. We accompanied it with an uncomplicated Rocket and Fennel salad with shavings of Parmesan and-sunflower seeds. The M&W woodfired pizza is well worth the drive if you like good wood-fired pizza. The team of servers were really friendly too and it’s super Pet friendly.

We inadvertently ended up doing a pre-anniversary dinner here and it was absolutely delicious, and such a lovely atmosphere. It's tastefully decorated and christmassy and cosy and the food is impeccable. Really well thought out and also well executed. We will definitely be back.

Lovely restaurant with a cosy inviting atmosphere and good selection of dishes, would be nice to see more tea options.

The ambience of this establishment is very cosy and the staff were friendly.
Our party of 4 ordered 2 starters to share - House Baked Focaccia and the Truffled Wild Mushroom Arancini Pesto Mayo.. The latter tasted amazing and looked delightful on the plate, just a pity that there were only 3 small mushrooms (see photo)
We also ordered 2 Margarita Sourdough Pizza's, Spiced Lamb Calzone Pizza, Beef Meatballs in a Salsa Verde Sauce, x2 Parmesan Polenta Chips and x2 Truffle Parmesan Skin on Fries.
All in all the food was nice, we just found it to be very oily, salty and the Parmesan on both of the fries became a bit too sickly after awhile - maybe this is an Italian thing, but it's not to ours so unfortunately we've had to drop a star.

Update 2nd August 2024.
Came here as everything has always been fantastic. Feels a bit like the B team on today.

Staff seem to be more interested in having a laugh than taking care of customers. Errors and omissions to orders... To the fact where there was no point in mentioning something had been forgotten as by the time it would have been ready we would have finished our meal!.

Don't know... Makes me feel a bit cautious about coming back in the future. Especially as we are sitting here being ignored quite well as I type this... Hmmm.

Update: Returned for a bit of a holiday feast, and was not disappointed. Food, service and atmosphere of this fabulous restaurant have probably become even better, since our last visit. Nice to see the place full and buzzing with dozens of conversations.

Food was, as previously, delicious. Staff were friendly, helpful and there if you needed something. I would book in advance as it seems to be very popular.

Original: Had a fantastic lunch here today, after a brief trip to Corsham. Sat inside, bit too hot for me, but there is a lovely outside area as well.

Decided to go for pizzas. I went for the four cheese option, while the husband went for hot smoked salmon.

Both were absolutely delicious, and very filling. Decided to add some polenta chips, and although we didn't finish them, ran out of room, they were amazing.

Staff were really helpful and friendly, and I highly recommend a visit if you are around!

Really homely café/restaurant with great coffee, wonderful array of cakes, friendly staff and quick service. The carrot cake was delicious, very soft and moist with just the right amount of cream cheese topping.
Pizzas also looked absolutely yummy!
Can get very busy and popular at lunchtime.
