Discovering Mugil South Indian Restaurant was like finding a culinary treasure in Birmingham. The Chicken Biryani was a fragrant delight, with perfectly spiced, tender chicken nestled among fluffy rice grains, striking a balance between aromatic and flavorful. The Chicken Kothu was a textural masterpiece, with layers of chopped parotta, chicken, and spices mingling in a delicious dance. And the Mushroom Manchurian? An explosion of umami, with juicy mushrooms coated in a savory, tangy sauce that had just the right kick. Each dish was a testament to authentic Indian cooking, masterfully prepared to evoke the essence of its origins. It’s a joy to find such authenticity and quality so far from India, a true testament to the skill and dedication of the chefs. Highly recommended for anyone craving a taste of Indian cuisine at its best!

Wow!!! What else can I say about this little big restaurant!! Goodness God!! Simply awesome. Though the resaurant space is small, The food and service made us feel heavenly. Very cost effective and heavenly food. It has been a long while we enjoyed such taste. We have ordered idly with vada portion and another idly only portion which tasted like amma’s food for us and then we had chicken fried rice and butter chicken which we started eating with cutleries but eventually dig in with our fingers lol.. soo tasty!! Then we had masala dosa and also Chicken kothu!! Yummy . Our family of 3 enjoyed those a lot a-lot alotttt…. Thank you Mugil for this awesome food and service.

One of the best authentic south Indian restaurant in the West Midlands. Tried Masala Dosa, Chicken Manchurian, Chicken Biryani, Filter coffee and a complimentary serving of pineapple sheera. All dishes were as authentic as you can get in the UK. Have tried other places like Chennai Dosa, Vaibhavam, Ruchie, none of these places comes close to this place. Service was exemplary too. Definitely visiting again

Great quality food prepared at a very short notice for a Gathering we planned at home. The Chef is very accommodative on the needs of the client, he gave suggestions on the quantity. All my friends loved the feast served including the kids who enjoyed very well. Highly recommend Mughil Restaurant for traditional South Indian dishes that brings back the memory and taste of home food prepared by our moms and grandma.

We are very impressed with the service, Chef was kind enough to send additional Dessert (Pineapple Kesari) and Yogurt rice along with the order as complements. Loved the care and support.....

The best restaurant if you are looking for a south indian flavour. The food is the best we have tasted. Its even better than Rishis in Edinburgh. The taste is very similar to a home cooked meal. Please open a branch in Edinburgh if you can or other cities.
