Came here for the first time 7/6/25 at 3pm. We are from the Republic of Ireland we didn’t know we had to register. The cashier said we could register at the front of the shop so we went to the front of the shop where the girl helped an northern Irish couple who had the same problem as me she gave them a temporary card and helped them register. When I came up next she told me I could only register online and there’s nothing she can do and she cannot help me so step aside. I had a trolley with over £200 in it and she was so ignorant. I myself work in hospitality and her behaviour was so unprofessional she needs to get more customer service training. The whole situation was a joke and shows how xenophobic the staff were. We came all the way from Kildare to go to this specific shop and shopped for over 2 hours before being told we can’t register. I’ll be bringing this further and would like a response from musgraves on if they train their staff to discriminate like this?

Busy store with a wide variety of products to suit most catering and retail businesses. Just a five minute drive from Belfast city centre, plenty of staff to assist and a good turnaround for stock rotation. Quite handy.

I recently visited Musgrave MarketPlace in Belfast and found the overall pricing to be significantly higher than local alternatives such as Tesco, Asda, or Lidl. While the store offers a broad selection of goods, the pricing practice can be misleading for everyday shoppers.

The main issue is that the displayed prices are exclusive of VAT (20%), which is only added during checkout. This can make items appear cheaper at first glance, but the final bill can come as a surprise. Unless you're aware of the VAT exclusion upfront, it’s easy to misjudge the actual cost.

In comparison, other nearby supermarkets show VAT-inclusive pricing, which makes budgeting and price comparison more straightforward. For casual or household shopping, Tesco, Asda, or Lidl may offer better overall value and clarity.

**Bottom line: Unless you're shopping for a business and reclaiming VAT, it may be more cost-effective and transparent to stick with standard supermarkets.

Has severely gone down hill, and prices have went up since opening to the public. Not much cheaper than Tescos these days. Better off going elsewhere if you're a business.

Great shop, open to general public now. Prices good staff friendly. 👌Fantastic!! Plenty of stock and the shelves were full. The store has bathrooms available, which is fantastic. Staff are friendly and helpful both on the sales floor and at the cashpoint. Bathrooms were clean, tidy , presentable, and regularly cleaned as per sheets on the wall. Shop was well air conditioned, and a nice temperature for a browse. Highly recommended for a satisfactory shopping experience! Thank you!
