This hotel is amazing. Like our last time got greeted at the door when we rang the bell. Super welcoming and friendly. We had the twin ensuite, the communal area were bright clean and well maintained. ||Our room was perfect one single 1 double and what looked like a chair sofa bed. Ample room for case clothes and everything else. Sockets, plenty and all reachable, beds clean comfy and sheets pristine white. Slept so well I had to really fight to get out of bed the mattresses were so comfy. Extra pillows were in the wardrobe which were great as me and hubby like to sit up in bed||The windows are old fashioned sash windows, someone complained about such windows not opening or staying open, we had no such problem all windows we opened were free working clean and stayed open, the blinds were easy to use and blocked out any light from outside. ||We do feel as norwich is busy city and hotel on a noisy stretch of road you do need earplugs but it's a city you expect it and these gorgeous windows are part of the buildings charm beaury and history.||Our ensuite facilities were clean maintained to a high standard we had a shower it worked perfectly for our needs, we saw that people complained of the communal toilet and shower for those who didn't have ensuite, the facilities were opposite our room and again they were clean well maintained and for a busy hotel after the partying weekend of norwich pride were kept reasonably as such we had no issues with any of the properties facilities.||We used the hotels WiFi and it was fast for our needs we had a tele kettle and fan all working all clean all well maintained. ||We came for Norwich pride weekend. It was very hot our room very warm but with windows open and found fan on it was great and water provided in our room when we arrived was so well revieved and also the lovely staff kept us topped up with water throughout our stay also there was plenty tea cand coffee too but we didn't touch it as all we wanted was cold drinks on our stay.||If you needed anything all information was on our door we point this out as we saw a review saying the hotel was unsafe the hotel had noone looking after it, but we found the opposite all doors locked it was a key entry system toilet doors had locks the front door had a bell and the hotel had someone you could rely on for any problems, either by ringing doorbell phoning the mobile number on door or visiting the restaurant. There was always someone there to help you.||We took loads of photos as proof. we had an amazing stay, our room was excellent, perfect for our needs the staff were amazingly friendly attentive and caring. ||We will return and won't leave it so long next time as we not only loved our stay in the hotel but we also thoroughly loved the restaurant the food the ambience the staff everything was fantastic. Can't fault anything. ||Thank you for an incredible stay. Thank you for the wonderful foid and making hubbys birthday so special

The people were nice but the hotel was dirty, it was disgusting. Hairs and dirt on bedding. Dust everywhere and stains in shower and bathroom. Didnโ€™t smell nice either. They really need to up their cleaning because at this point itโ€™s a bio hazard. Iโ€™ve stayed in a lot of affordable places that were all fairly clean but this was just so dirty. Felt disgusting sleeping in a bed with dust and hair on it.

Stayed here for Norwich Pride weekend 26-28 July Very poor service, asked for xtra towel (as there was only one) we never received it, deluxe double rooms really small, the widow overlooked the kitchen which was very noisy. And to top it of the bed was riddled in BED BUGS which I didnโ€™t realise until Monday after arriving home Sunday, I have a bad itching skin reaction, spots and sores on my back, arms, and legs, I had this confirmed by a Pharmacist and Doctor it definitely is BED BUGS , By far the worst Hotel I have ever stayed in. I have informed the environmental health which will be looking into it. Also no Breakfasts. It is a B&B not Bed and Breakfast but BED & BUGS .

A totally scammed hotel services. Once we asked for the time of breakfast indicated in the booking, they pointed at the tea and coffee tray on the bedside tables. Also on their website, parking is included, turned out to be the paid parking lot opposite their hotel. No sounds proof, as we heard everything next door and on the hall way. This must be a central point of night activities, as we heard they were fighting, shouting with inappropriate languages outside our doors and on the streets. Very unsafe!

The staffs were really helpful and they have a great heart. The day I reached Norwich the hotel was full. Staffs didn't let me down and offered me free lunch the way Indians behave. My company booked a hotel for me was that bit away from the city centre. So I went to check if they have any room empty. I can't comment much because I didn't stayed there but the people and the location was really nice. Thank you so much for the great humanity you people showed.
It's been 4 years it had happened but I couldn't say thanks. Because when I came back to India, I forgot the name of the hotel and today after searching my office document I could find the name.

I think the bad reviews of this place are a bit unfair, it's a budget place with good service, locally owned, the rooms aren't massive but have everything I need, good little en suite and although the rooms aren't brand new I found mine clean and tidy

Our family room was spacious and immaculately clean. Basic but modern with just enough style to lift it up a notch. Excellent mattresses, good quality bed linen, fluffy towels - good and warm. The single glazed windows in our room at the back of the building did not do much to cut out the noise of a busy road to the front but we still fell asllep quickly and did not wake til the morning. Bonus of a 15% discount for hotel resdents in the renowned restaraunt in the same building. Just be aware the arking for the restaurant is not for the hotel but since it only cost ยฃ3.00 for overnight parking in the council car park opposite - not a big deal.

Very mixed. More of a restaurant with a hotel stuck on top.||Positives. Ensuite room was fine. Reasonable size. Everything clean and OK.|Indian vegan/vegetarian restaurant downstairs is the main attraction. 15% discount if you stay in hotel. Excellent cuisine, spacious setting in what was once a Methodist Church. Was busy early Saturday evening, seems like a popular venue.||Negatives. No reception. You are given a card and left to your own devices. Upstairs some rooms are very close to each other and people can be very noisy. Drunk people came back in the middle of the night, lost card and could not get in. Very loud and no one to deal with this. Didn't feel particular safe in this environment. You can hear people coming up and down the corridor at all hours. So not recommended if you want a decent sleep. Also hotel is on a busy street, no double glazing so traffic can be heard throughout the night.
