We , a family of 6 stayed at the "The Threshing Barn" on 13th-15th June 2025. Looked ok after we arrived at 4pm on the 13th coz we had to go to pre wedding drinks at 6pm. On return we noted sewage smells from downstairs into the kitchen. Had the wedding on the 14th and noted a couple of defects before leaving for a fantastic day, such as upstairs toilet roll holder detached from wall, Oven grill pans had grease in, bottom oven door not closing properly, Upstairs TV not tuning into any channel. Woke up on the 15th to go for a shower, and guess what!! No hot water, No showers. The cottage has 3 bathrooms and none of the showers worked. Our schedule was hectic over the weekend and trying to report and fix the issues I'm sure would have been impossible. I did however clean and wash up and leave the cottage nearly better than I found it!! *******Update following the owners reply to everyone that reads reviews. Shame the reply was full of excuses such as I didn't report the problems etc. Forgot to mention an apology for the full of grease oven trays/pans, NO TV tuning in, toilet roll holder falling off the wall, oven door defective.... Apart from that hope anyone that books the "Threshing Barn" has a nicer time that we did. Good Luck, you will need it if the above is not addressed as a matter of urgency, it was not cheap after all for the accommodation

We stayed at the Gig House for a long weekend, such a beautiful little cottage, so peaceful and relaxing. Fully kitted with all you need to make home cooked meals too.
Everything was neat and clean. Although there are a few cottages, it was still very private and peaceful. Will defo be returning

Myself and my family have stayed at Nar Valley a couple of times. Every time Hannah and Tan have been so welcoming and professional. Such lovely little touches like the doggy care packages and not to mention the comfiest beds ever! Always checking in with us , making sure our stay is going well and offering suggestions on places to visit for days out. Overall every time we have stayed we have had an amazing experience and created some very happy memories there. Cannot wait to come and visit again ☺️

In the midst of possibly the worst year imaginable was our much awaited holiday to Nar Valley Cottages. Postponed from our original date in May we were lucky enough to get to our destination in August and it was well worth the wait. We stayed in Cart Lodge and aside from a long handled broom can honestly say we needed for nothing. Such a beautifully appointed accommodation, with a very comfortable lounge; the easy chairs in front of the wood burner on a decidely wet and blustery day were bliss. The beds were amazingly comfortable with beautiful linen and the showers were fabulous with copious amounts if hot water. The owners really have given their guests comfort every consideration and have hit the nail with perfection.

Use of the pool was an added bonus and the current climate meant we were often had it to ourselves which was lovely.

The dog thoroughly enjoyed the outdoor space and the views were intoxicating.

With family and close friends having recently moved nearby we will most certainly be booking again.

Hannah and Tan were great hosts, they made us really welcome, giving us lots of local knowledge. We have travelled extensively in the USA and had always said, " What must they think when they get to the UK". Well these cottages are excellent and match the best accommodation anywhere and of course the complimentary use of the on-site health club just made our stay complete, so much so we have already booked a longer stay. Can't wait!

Beautiful cottages in a lovely setting. To have spa facilities included is such bonus. We had a lovely stay and will no doubt book again. If I was being picky the bathrooms could do with a bit of a makeover but that's not enough to drop nar valley cottages below a 5 star

Peace, quiet and so, so welcoming! Beautifully equipped cottages in a secluded and unspoilt part of Norfolk, with a very professionally run Spa in the grounds. Very Covid safe and Hannah and Tan go out of their way to ensure the comfort of their guests. We have booked a return visit and we rarely do that.

Nar Valley Cottages is the perfect get away for all occasions. This is our 3rd time here and we can’t wait to return again. Tan & Hannah are the perfect hosts, along with the amazing team at the spa! The location is perfect for country side walks and just a ten min drive to the local little town. The cottages are so cosy and welcoming, it’s a little home from home with that special touch!
