Love this place, visited to see Xmas decorations and it was well worth the visit. Also lovely walk around the gardens, lake and woods. They have the twelve days of Xmas theme with snowmen throughout the grounds. Only downside is, it is popular and does get busy at times.

Though somewhat smaller and less grand, than other NT properties, this is one of my favourite NTs.

It's quite unique in appearance and being more 'normal', you could almost imagine living here yourself.

The usual friendly and helpful volunteers, talking about the history, which is always great to hear.

Definitely a location worth visiting. Just be aware that it is smaller and consequently you may well be finished quicker than with a larger property.

A lovely house. Beautifully decorated for Christmas. The Snowman trail was a wonderful extra.
The thing that let them down was the attitude of the meet & greet lady towards my daughter being in a wheelchair.

Excellent tour of the lovely moated house, with enthusiastic and knowledgeable volunteer guides adding to the experience, grand great hall with massive fireplace in use, rooms each with appropriate furniture several centuries old, with stories of the people that lived there. The priest hole is a fascinating rare feature, where catholic priests hid from government raids, in the late 1500s for many decades. The encircling gardens are varied and worth a wander around, and there's a good cafe restaurant in an original barn

The gardens and grounds are very well kept. A cafe, church, and second hand book shop are all located here as well, lots to see and do. A good location for a keen photographer.

Enjoyed looking around this beautiful moated manor house. Recommended if you are in the area. Not too dog friendly, but there is a walk around the estate for them.
