Our room needed decorating, the windows cleaned, the wardrobe was so flimsy we thought it was going to collapse and it had no handle on one door, the bedding was stained and the very small T.V. had to be viewed from sitting on the side of the bed. The bathroom floor tiles were cracked and the toilet pan was wobbly and we had difficulty getting the shower switched on. No wi-fi throughout the hotel, iron in room or hairdryer and no biscuits on welcome tray. We did request decaffeinated coffee which was provided on the second day. Stairs were very steep. Unable to switch radiator off. Cleaner did not go in to the bathroom all week to clean or tidy.|Room was warm and bed was comfortable and it was lovely and quiet. Plenty of drawer space. Comfortable pillows. Plenty of towels. Staff were eager to please and could not do enough for you and they were all really friendly. Food was lovely and generous portions. Hotel just needs loads of money throwing at it to bring it up to standard.

The best thing about this hotel was how friendly and helpful the staff were. Nicky the manager was like wonder woman going from the desk to bar then bingo caller omg I don't know how she keeps up The room we had was spacious nice en suite with a hot power shower The food was lovely always hot and the choice for gluten free food was so so good compared to other places we have stayed we were well catered for Would definitely come back

We stayed here last minute for 2 nights. Warm welcome. Excellent service by staff and manager. Couldn't have been more helpful if they tried. Great atmosphere! Rooms were great. Sea views. Looking forward to our next stay there. Better value for money service and atmosphere than the new premier Inn on the seafront. Highly recommended!

Wow, just got back from an amazing, awesome, absolutely fantastic break. As soon as we arrived at the hotel, we were greeted by Nicky, she was so friendly, accommodating and along with her fab staff couldn't do enough for us, nothing was too much trouble. Smiling, happy, made the 4 day trip with Caledonian one to be repeated, can't wait till this new year. The food was great, the rooms clean, beds comfortable, what's not to like and the entertainment was so cool with great songs for us all to sing along to. Many thanks to Nicky and all her fab staff, you deserve a break. See you next time.

Back home .after a 5 day trip to great Yarmouth and the Nelson hotel with Caledonian. The hotel manager Nikki .she was lovely and all the staff was brilliant..nice hotel. Comfortable and meals were nice. Cheers Nikki. She came to the coach to welcome us and also came to wave us off. Robert.xxx

The hotel was very clean. As with other reviews, it could do with modernisation but our room was spacious, clean and perfectly adequate |There was no breakfast available which was a big down side for us and no bar at night. This may be because we were out of season but it was a shame

Stayed for a long weekend on a coach trip to Thursford christmas show The room was clean and cosy we had a family suite and the beds were really comfortable. The food was really nice especially the Lasagne that was gorgeous, the breakfast was good and plenty of choice The staff could not do enough for you especially Chloe who was a star and organised a quiz and a game of bingo to keep us entertained. Had a brilliant weekend highly recommend

Thank you Nikki and all your staff for a fantastic Christmas break. Rooms clean and comfortable and amazingly warm. Food was really tasty especially the Christmas Day dinner which was superb. All the staff, especially in the restaurant could not do enough to help us and were exceptionally polite, happy and smiling. Chloe, who also seemed to work non-stop, ran an efficient bar at reasonable prices. Along with that, she ran the Christmas Day bingo and quiz after lunch. We thoroughly enjoyed our entertainment on the last night with Andrea, but if we were to be picky found the other three entertainers were very “samey”, playing a lot of the same songs, whereas Andrea took requests from the audience. Excellent value for money - thanks again Nikki for exceptional hard work in managing such a great establishment.
