I really did want to like Nerano’s - it was lively inside, the prices were relatively reasonable, and the servers were friendly and welcoming. However, everything was just….exceptionally slow. That’s fair and expected to some extent, as it seemed busy, but it was over half an hour between clearing away our bruschetta and serving our pasta mains. And then having to ask a server for silverware for said mains.

I think if the food was exceptional, and I was with a larger group of friends, then maybe the waits between every step would be worthwhile, but….it was pretty okay. Which is fine, I suppose, but not over 90 minutes for a shared appetizer and two mains good.

The bruschetta was probably my favorite dish of the three we had.

A solid Italian restaurant in the heart of Devizes. Excellent service and a great place for a birthday, celebration or just a nice meal. Good homemade pizzas, fresh pasta and wonderful desserts.

Noisy because it's popular. Excellent service, real professional waiters. Prawn diablo was very good, calamari was ok, but mussels were not. My custom pizza (anchovies, garlic, chillies) was very well done, with a good crust, maybe too much cheese. The mussels were taken off the bill. We would come back again.

Came here for a birthday meal and the staff were nothing short of fantastic. We arrived to a birthday balloon they had put on the table for us which was a lovely touch. I have a mushroom allergy and they were very accommodating- I had the risotto and it was delicious! My family also loved their food- excellent portions and came quickly. We were then surprised with a desert for the birthday girl which she loved. This is a place that cares about their customers and their experience. The food alone is enough for us to look forward to our next visit, however the staff made it. Thank you!!

This Italian gem serves up more than just meals; it delivers a slice of culinary heaven. Upon entering, you're immediately greeted by the warm smiles of a staff that treats you like family, as if Nonna herself had sent them over to make sure you don't leave hungry.

The star of the evening was a calzone that could only be described as perfection wrapped in dough. Crisp on the outside, yet bursting with gooey cheese and meat fillings that made each bite a blissful experience. It’s the kind of dish that makes you question why you’d ever order anything else.

Not to be outdone, the pasta arrived, a plate of perfectly andante ribbons with chicken and mushrooms in a sauce that tasted like it had been simmering for generations. The balance of flavors was so on point, you’d think the recipe was whispered directly from an old Italian cookbook passed down through the ages.

The atmosphere was the cherry on top: cozy yet lively, with just the right mix of chatter, music and clinking glasses. It’s the kind of place where you linger over your last sip of wine, not because you’re still thirsty, but because you’re not quite ready to leave. In short, this restaurant doesn’t just feed your hunger—it feeds your soul.

I took my Family here to celebrate my Husband’s 60th. We have a Son who’s autistic and can’t deal with crowded places or loud noises. This makes going out tricky sometimes but the staff here were amazing! They knew about autism. They put us in a quiet area which they said they would keep clear of other diners for us. They even put a Happy Birthday banner up for my Husband! Service and food were exceptional and I have just booked again to take my Dad for his 81st! Five stars. Definitely a must go restaurant!
