We chose this hotel due to it looking superb and it's close proximity to the Lake District and it totally exceeded our expectations. Beautiful old building set in fabulous grounds and overlooking the bay at Grange-Over-Sands. The staff were all superb and they had clearly upgraded our room too which was simply stunning. The bed was one of the most comfortable I've ever slept in. Our breakfast was fabulous and again the service was outstanding. I've already recommended this place to some of my golfing chums!

Wow wow wow!!!!|Myself and my mum stayed here with our family dog Raff. We were taking part in the Morecambe Bay walk. We booked this hotel because it was close to the Grange train station (less than 5 minutes) and boy are we glad we did! What a wonderful hotel with the most caring, friendly lovely staff. The staff couldn’t do enough for us, all had a smile on their faces and made our stay one to remember. Firstly, we’d like to thank Abby on reception who was so helpful when we booked our package on the telephone. We also thought Dan, Peter and Diana were fabulous. The evening meal was to die for, wonderful fresh food served beautifully and piping hot. The rooms were clean, spacious and cosy. And no surprise, the breakfast was also amazing! Hot help yourself full English breakfast, as well as pastries, fruit, and a full continental too. All in all a fabulous experience, we will 100% be back. Thank you!

We got married at the Netherwood and honestly couldn’t have picked a better place. The building and grounds are absolutely beautiful, loads of our guests said how stunning and elegant it was. It looks very posh, but the whole atmosphere was so warm and relaxed, never stuffy at all.||The staff were brilliant from start to finish. When we couldn’t find a food supplier for our Peruvian fiesta the night before the wedding, the hotel offered to step in and cook it themselves. We weren’t expecting much as the chef had never been to Peru, but the food was absolutely amazing, even our Peruvian guests were really impressed! It was such a kind and thoughtful thing to do.||The whole day ran smoothly, and we felt so well looked after the entire time. Our wedding planner at the hotel made everything feel easy and stressfree. We’ll definitely be coming back, the Netherwood will always be a special place for us now.

The hotel was absolutely stunning, our room was lovely and gorgeous place to sit and relax with a wine. The only problem we found was that the meals off the main bar menu for dinner was lacking. We didn’t fancy the Michelin restaurant, but possibly some kind of pie & chips/ cottage pie etc. we found there was a very small selection on the bar menu. Other than that, we had a lovely stay and we’d go again. We’d just plan dinner better as there doesn’t seem to be any other pubs within a 5/10 minute walk.

We have just returned from a 2 night stay for my husband’s birthday!
What a beautiful place this is, everything you would expect from a traditional hotel.
A credit to all of the staff. The grounds are very well maintained and a pleasure to walk around, the hedges and spring bulbs are a joy.
We had a superior room overlooking the gardens and views of the sea.
Cleanliness of our room and throughout the hotel
was faultless.
Dinner superb, breakfast the same - fresh good quality food - no complaints!
attentive and friendly staff.
We also enjoyed 1.5 hours in the spa for The Thermal Journey, again faultless!
Immaculate, everything in working order it is well thought out and managed with regards to the numbers of people in at once.

A beautifully maintained hotel linking the traditional building with the new addition to make a perfect place to stay or just visit. Views over Morecambe bay are amazing.|It’s refreshing to see such an old building so well maintained and in keeping with traditional construction. We had a spa and afternoon tea which were both top notch as were all of the staff|Very little to dislike. The booking process for afternoon tea and spa took a while as phones weren’t answered. Took a few days to get through.

Went here for a friend's surprise birthday party. In every way it was an excellent venue & provided a great experience. There is a lift to All floors & staff are very supportive of people with mobility/carrying challenges.

Booked this for Sunday lunch as we've had good experiences before. It was a special occasion and we were looking forward to a bay view and delicious food as we've had before. Unfortunately the usual dining room was closed and we were made to eat in the bar where there was a very limited menu, very slow service and below average food. I ordered a burger which was very over done and rock hard. The side salad was drowned in a mustard dressing and the sweet potato fries were over cooked too. Very disappointing.
