We have stayed many times with Jean and John at this immaculate guest house. It is within walking distance of loughborough university and town centre. Both our sons have attended this uni and we have had many stays here over the years. Parking is available and we usually leave the car and walk everywhere. Breakfast is taken all around one table, which I particularly enjoy as we have met some very interesting people from many countries.. Most like us making a mini break out of dropping off or picking up offspring. We shall be sorry not to have a planned stay with them booked, as our youngest graduates (hopefully) this summer. We have grown to love the town, people and the Uni.

Stayed here for one night whilst at a conference at the university. Very convenient location (walking distance to the university), immaculately clean, good breakfast. I had a single room at the top of the house. Some of the furnishings were a bit tired, but the room itself was huge, and very comfortable. Would definitely stay here again - cheaper than the university conference accommodation and far superior. On-street parking available overnight.

This lovely building is in the conservation area, a Victorian villa, restored and loved by the owners for some 15 years. We were offered the chance to park off road, just behind the guest house, although there is parking outside on the road too (free overnight but might be restricted during the day).||||The front and rear gardens have won awards and are a real labour of love. ||||We enjoyed the large family suite at the front on the first floor, with a very comfy double bed and a 3' single for my son. The suite's bathroom is also very big with all the shelves you could want. Our bed-room contained a silent fridge and a well-stocked tray for hot drinks and biscuits (replenished each day). Jean placed a jug of fresh milk in the fridge. You order breakfast the night before so all is ready at the time you choose, this was a particularly enjoyable part of our stay. The whole place is immaculate.||||Bring your own hairdryer or request to borrow one from the owners as none is left in the room. There is a torch though, and some puzzles. There is a TV and a radio alarm in the room also.||||As well as sumptuous bedding, Venetian blinds and thick curtains over the sealed unit sash windows, all combine to ensure you have a peaceful night.||||There is also a very nice lounge for residents to use if they wish. This has a selection of books and games, several comfortable chairs, a foot rest, side tables and a TV.||||Wifi is free.||||The price is extremely reasonable and I feel sure that anyone visiting the town, or the university, who appreciates good old fashioned hospitality will not fail to enjoy the New Life experience.

A big, clean and well equipped room over more than I needed for a simple nights stay. Jean and John are welcoming and friendly and cook a fantastic breakfast! I will definitely be staying again on future trips to Loughborough.||||Also booking over the phone (as opposed to online), will give a little extra to Jean and John!

stayed here for 3 nights, although room did no have wc en suite it was next door., with shower and wash basin en suite. the room was large and well furnished. the bed was very comfortable and the bedding was immaculate. delightful garden, nice people and great breakfast

A small Guest House, But a very good sized Bedroom, with all you need to have a good stay, I stayed on business this time round, so my wife was not with me, but the room had twin beds, and they where of good quality, so if I get chance to bring her next time a very good box is ticked, the room was clean and tidy, and nicely laid out, through on a main road there seamed very little noise , its quite a short drive to the university and a short drive into town, so any one visiting kid at the university would have an easy time being close to both, the breakfast was a good English, with all items offered tasty and not over done, more tea or coffee or toast if wanted, and the best thing no problem of an early start, as so many its 8 am only, the owner's where pleasant and helpful , and could not be faulted ,as I will be at this event every year, I would have no problem of coming back and bring my wife as well,
