I won a night bed and breakfast on a raffle at the fire station in Barrow last year, my partner and I went there last month. They had no ground floor rooms on the night we wanted and as they had no lift they gave us the Rotunda, it was beautiful, the bed was really comfy, there was a double shower which was amazing. We had an evening meal which was lovely, we were so full we had to get it boxed up to have later, the staff were so nice, it's also pet friendly if you want to take a dog. The hotel is lovely, very clean. The garden out the back is beautiful. Checking in and out is easy. The staff were very helpful whenever we needed to know something. We both had an amazing time, and the weather was amazing which was a bonus.

This little break was booked for a birthday celebration. Nice room with four poster bed, lovely view from 2 big windows. Beautifully clean en-suite bathroom. Dinner and breakfast was served in the garden room which as the title suggests with beautiful views of the garden. Food was very good. Nice residents lounge with lots of comfortable sofas and equipped with board games and books. |On the whole, we had a lovely stay here and will definitely return.

This was our second time at this beautiful hotel and it was as perfect as our last visit. All the staff are simply wonderful, kind & so welcoming, the bar staff don’t just serve you they speak to you about different drinks there origin & really take the time to make sure your served with a smile, the Food is delicious and chef is so lovely checking your happy with your meal, he was kind enough to explain about his inspirations and give my hubby a few tips ! The management team go above and beyond to make sure your stay is perfect, nothing is to much trouble and this is what makes this hotel stand out from others. Don’t hesitate to book and just enjoy the amazing hospitality. Our little dog Rosie was spoilt by all members of the team and she loved the gardens & park nearby. Well we have booked again as we always feel well rested and looked after and the rooms are kept spotless. Thank you as always . X

Stayed for 2 nights with friends. We were warmly greeted by the lady on reception and were given rooms next to each other at the front of the hotel. As there isn't a lift she very kindly carried a set of bags to our rooms ( 2 flights of stairs). Just ask on booking for a lowere room if you need this.
Rooms were spacious, warm and clean. Double and single bed in each. Plenty of brewing up stuff, wardrobes and 4 sets of drawers! Toiletries provided and plenty of storage space in bathroom. Bathmat and loads of hot water. Large comfy bed, room tidied etc daily.
Food was varied and the staff are friendly and attentive.
Pool was warm, and cctv means you are safe.
Looking forward to a return trip.

This is a slightly outdated but lovely hotel. Good pub/guest house and feel about it. We had room one and it’s a good spacious room. Staff friendly and helpful. |Need to up the attention to detail with clearing glasses and tables more efficiently. This applied to both the lounge area outside and the bar. The grounds are lovely and well kept. We enjoyed this stay for the weekend just think needs more attention to the daily running. |Breakfast was nice but again disorganised at clearing up and refilling. Simple things like glasses ran out for juices, fruit ran out very quick and staff seemed unprepared for the hotel being quite busy.

We stayed in one of the cabins with a private hot tub. The view from the hot tub was amazing (Cabin 4) with a mist over the hills it was both relaxing and atmospheric. The cabin itself has everything you need. The double bed was comfy and my son (age 11) declared the sofa bed to be equally as comfortable! Various teas and coffee sachets provided with plenty of milk. A small fridge was enough for us to keep a couple of bottles of wine and soft drinks we'd brought with us. Towels were plentiful and soft (separate towels for hot tub use provided) and robes and slippers for hot tub use.|We ate dinner in the dining room on our first evening - great and friendly staff (2 young men) and wonderful food. My son says the chicken off the children's menu is the best he had!! Breakfast the next morning was ok - we'd like to see a bit more choice in cereals, fruit and pastries (pancakes and chocolate spread would also be a winner for kids) - the evening experience was definitely the best for dining.|Overall, this was an incredibly relaxing break with friendly staff throughout. We're already planning our next stay and will be booking a cabin with a hot tub again - the privacy you get is priceless!
