Centrally located, beautiful quirky rooms that have been well thought out and have everything you could need. Each floor has its own kitchen station with tea, coffee, biscuits, water and breakfast items.|The bar is a nice place to go for a quiet drink.

What a lovely place! It’s really comfortable and very clean and the decor is fresh and modern. There are also thoughtful touches such as cold water, coffee, tea, biscuits and crisps provided in a kitchenette on the landings. I didn’t meet Jean and Dave the owners but they were so friendly and helpful on the phone and Jean posted my forgotten nightie to me!

Great little bijou hotel for a short stay. Rooms are small but smart and functional. Ensuite bathroom with shower gel, shampoo and conditioner provided. Teas and coffee facilities are shared on each landing and include snacks and cold water in the fridge. Check-in and out is simple at the Solo Bar two doors down and staff are welcoming and helpful. The bar also offers breakfast and evening meals. There's no parking on site but public car parks are available within few minutes' walk and reasonably priced for a day. Downside to that is you need to be up early to put old style pay and display ticket on your dash! We parked in eastgate which cost us £3.50 per day. Town centre location is great for immediate access to bars, restaurants and shops, but also lovely walk along the river is just minutes away.

Lovely, central location with nice, clean rooms and comfortable beds. Restaurant is excellent and all of the junior staff are incredibly helpful, warm and friendly.
Would have given 5 stars for service based on those if we hadn’t had to deal with the manager. It’s unusual when there’s an issue for the manager to state it’s the customers fault and not offer a single apology. Talk of her health and 40 hour week and blaming her team did not help an irate customer under time pressure. No customer service skills and pretty useless at de-escalating the situation. Such a shame for those that obviously work so hard at being hospitable.

Town centre location with plenty of nearby eateries. Several flights of stairs, but lovely rooms, perfect for a stopover. Great shower. Tea & coffee making nearby on the landing.

A perfect place to stay for a wedding. Lovely room, clean, stylish and so comfortable. The shower is a dream. The ability to make tea and nice coffee and a supply of cold water bottles is a nice touch. Plus, your help and advice before we arrived made everything very easy. Thankyou.

Large, tastefully decorated rooms with brand new bathrooms. A nice shared kitchenette, fully stocked with water, coffee, tea and snacks. Very pleasant owners who were quick to respond. My only complaint is that the garbage wasn’t emptied regularly. We were there with a toddler and were also shopping a lot so we had a lot of garbage each day. However, as soon as we mentioned it to the owners they came and emptied it. Would definitely stay there again.
