I had read some negative reviews about Novotel hotel, which made me hesitant and almost led me to cancel my stay. However, I'm really glad I decided to give it a chance and experience it for myself. I lodged with my partner for the weekend and we enjoyed our stay. The rooms were spacious enough, clean and beautiful, it was quiet and ambience was excellent.
The best thing about Novotel are the staff, they are 10/10!. So warm, so polite & always willing to help with a smile.
This hotel is such a good value for money.

We have stayed in Accor Group Hotel lots of locations around Europe, sadly this was our least enjoyable experience. The rooms and corridors are not sound proofed, our neighbour phoned her husband as we arrived and we heard every word. Having dropped off our luggage we were ready for a drink, we had to share the lift with a hotel worker and two of her buckets and mop as there seems to be no service lift. When we got back to reception I ask the lady to send someone to sort our the room safe, it has been left locked but open. We could not close it and reset it, therefore it was unusable. The lady said she understood, but I felt she really didn't understand. On arrival we asked about and early meal as we were going to the theatre. We were informed that the restaurant closed between 5pm and 6pm. This is not what the website says. It is totally unacceptable for any sort of business not to have a totally up to date website. We fully understand that circumstances change and it is possible some facilities need to be edited. It is not acceptable to not up date a website to reflect the accuracy of the services and facilities on offer. The lady who was on the bar needs to be rewarded for excellent service, when I asked if it was possible to pre-order our food so we could eat as soon after 6pm as possible. She agreed, we made sure we ordered our meal well ahead of 6pm so the catering staff could easily fit it into their re-opening. Just before 6pm, I went back to our room to collect coats and ensure we were ready to leave. The safe had not been dealt with. I went back to reception and spoke to the same receptionist. She explained to me that Maintenance only work Mon to Fri so there was nothing she could do about the safe. I was speechless and a little stupid. I should have asked to speak to the duty manager, because I don't believe the only people who can deal with lock open safes are Maintenance crew. It was too late for me to do anything about it and I just had to take my laptop etc, to the theatre. The pre-ordered food arrive just after 6pm as requested and was good. Thank you, as I said the lady on the bar was excellent. We arrived back from the theatre around 10.30pm. After a short time another customer and his wife arrived, he was loud and aggressive using unpleasant language because he couldn't get a sandwich as advertised on a 24 hour service. There is no excuse for his behaviour and thankfully his wife steered him away. As a business you are expected to make sure your staff have a safe environment to work in. Leaving a lone female to deal with the bar and not offering the service advertised is dereliction of duty of care. The following morning at breakfast, we had to wait for eggs and sausages. We totally support your message of not wasting food. However, your catering team should have a good idea of how many guests are in the hotel and therefore what quantities of breakfast food is needed. We would have liked yoghurt with our breakfast but it had not been delivered!!! Where was your duty manager, why wasn't this basic dealt with. In my working world we dealt with moments like this with petty cash, someone was dispatched to the nearest supermarket with Β£20 to buy pots of yoghurt. Processing a PCV voucher is relatively expensive but less expensive than having the read this super long moan by me. Overall the food offer at breakfast was good and we all enjoyed our breakfasts when we eventually got it. When we came to leave we had to walk down the stairs as the housekeeping assistant had filled the lift with her trolley. We spoke to two people manning reception about our experience, they seemed to understand that all of this is just basic training issues. We walked away not sure that anything would change, the poor training seems to be sadly ingrained.

Dont listen to the bad reviews our room was spotless. We were celebrating our engagement here and Raza and Cher went above and beyond for us and even gave us a drink to congratulate us on arrival , the house keeping manager MiMi put some lovely celebration touchs in our room also which was a nice surprise! All staff friendly and helpful, at no point did we feel unsafe. Breakfast was a chilled vibe and we asked for poached eggs and they were perfect!

Staying in the Novotel Coventry was a last minute choice due to bad weather on the M6. I had a superior Queen bedroom and arrived at 10.30pm. The room was clean and spacious. Coffee and tea making equipment was available in the room. Bathroom was also spacious and clean. I didn't try breakfast as Β£13.95 seemed expensive. I had a good night's sleep as the mattress was very comfy. I can recommend based on my short stay.

Hugely disappointed due to lack of vegan options for food. Kids menu had zero options so server suggested chips. There was an adult tomato pasta that was vegan but apparently the spicy sauce had already been made up so a tomato pasta wasn't even an option. In the morning at breakfast there was no vegan/plant based/dairy-free butter option. I am also gluten-free and the GF bar only had a jar of cornflakes and a jar of porridge. They did provide oat milk and soya milk at breakfast however.

Being located where they are doesn't allow for popping out to grab something and we had already driven far so the idea of putting my kids back in the car to go find food wasn't an option.

We only booked here as the Premier Inn we wanted was full. Definitely go elsewhere if you're after food otherwise perfectly adequate for sleeping.

Stayed a night to meet up with friends. Customer service is okay, just the usual. We particularly enjoyed playing pool. Accessible location. Just that, the room we were in was dirty, particularly the walls and carpet. But overall, it was good stay for that price. I would still recommend for a short stay. πŸ˜€

Amazing hotel, friendly staff. 10/10. ||Perfect for our needs as a family of four + a golden retriever, pet friendly and kids eat breakfast free! Can’t go wrong!!||Conveniently located too, not too far from parks for the kids and only a 15 minute drive from city centre! ||Can’t wait for our next visit to Coventry so we can stay again! ||Thank you Novotel team!!!

Beds are really comfy and the shower is great. The service at the bar was awful as there was hardly anybody around. Waited 20mins before being served. The food is below par, only just edible.
