Had a 12 month commitment to this gym from Feb 24, found out I was pregnant in October so haven’t been using the gym. Only just found out today that I could have got out of this commitment due to the pregnancy (I should have enquired). What is a joke about this gym, they failed to mention that the membership will continue after the commitment automatically, I wasn’t aware I had to email to cancel and now I have them ringing me asking for more money that I cannot afford to waste. It wouldn’t be so bad if I was going to use it.

Warm welcome from reception staff. Facilities are well maintained and clean. New spin bikes are a great addition! All PTs are friendly and helpful. Always have a good experience when I come to the gym! Would highly recommend.

One of the many gyms I explored after leaving PureGym, and Charlotte is a real credit to Nuffield. She was very welcoming on arrival and gave me a tour around the gym, explaining everything in detail and answering all of my questions.

I saw what I liked, especially in terms of fulfilling my requirements, and the access for disabled people, which prompted me to join.

Can’t wait for my next session!

Ive never reviewed anything before but today ive decided this review was fully needed.The centre is a huge disappointment, the behavior from staff is appalling. I recently experienced blatant discrimination and abuse from a staff member, NELLA HAPTON (TALL GINGER GIRL).i was trying to relax and enjoy a nice session of swimming, instead i felt a constant hostile situation created by this member of staff, she was very rude for ABSOLUTELY NO REASON!!!!!!!. This incident made me feel humiliated, unsafe,unwelcome. I left feeling disgusted and unwelcome. It's unacceptable for any gym to allow this type of behavior. I urge management to take immediate action to address this issue and ensure a respectful and inclusive environment for all members. Until then, I cannot recommend this gym to anyone. Its clear they treat people from a minority background differently, AVOID.

The reception staff at Nuffield Shipley are all really helpful and welcoming and the classes offered by the instructors are plentiful and varied. My favourite classes are Marta's - she is the most positive, motivational gym instructor I've ever encountered and her classes are a joy. But everyone is great really and the facilities are good. It's a shame the spa pools are no longer operational but apart from that I can't really fault what you get for your membership which is one of the more reasonable Nuffield gyms around

Great little cafe at Nuffield, food is presented well & freshly prepared. Poached eggs on toast with beans was a winner after my training session.

Me and my husband visited this evening to enquire about this particular gym as we were looking for something that offered all facilities i.e pool, sauna & steam room. The ladies Abbie & Charlotte were both very welcoming on arrival and offered us a tour around the gym before we decided to join or not. We saw what we liked therefore decided to proceed. Charlotte was really lovely and offered us drinks and both ladies made us feel really comfortable explained everything in detail. We cannot wait to come back! Thank you once again for the brilliant service!
